Guest guest
Therese, Thanks for all the work you have shared with us on ingresses. On this thorny question of ayanamsha, I have looked at the Pluto (power/dominance) ingress into Cancer (people/population) as a descriptor of fascism and war --- the ingresses took place in 1932-34 -- and have found that while all charts are afflicted, Lahiri appeared to be the worst, at least to my eye.(Lahiri 1st ingress: Sep 2 1932 1.53 pm Berlin; 3rd ingress May 21 1934 9.42 am.) This is what one would expect from a period that saw the rise of fascism, a world war, and the a-bomb. Lots of fun for a rainy or snowy afternoon... I would also include the AntiVertex / Vertex axis (East / West). Planets near this axis can have a decidedly angular impact, also. The Prime Vertical we use to define the Campanus cusps is the same circle that defines AVX / VX points -- the degrees of the Zodiac exactly due East & West. Guest guest
Chris, thanks for your feedback. I hadn't thought to check the ingresses of the outer planets into signs of the zodiac. I do know that about the time Pluto went into sidereal Libra that AIDS was discovered, but since reading your comment I want to do more work on the outer planet ingresses. We know what is going on during Pluto's transit of Scorpio, so it would be very interesting to check that ingress for Pluto.
