Many thanks for checking this out for me - I can use SSRs with a bit more confidence now Chris.

Same applies for the lunar return, of course. I used Astrolog for about a year for sidereal astrology, but it really is a pain in the behind to calculate returns with, and progressions are even more of a pain. It is at heart a tropical astrology program with a sidereal 'option'. I eventually wrote a program, Aldebaran, to do all of this stuff for me automagically, and unlike Astrolog, it is made specifically for sidereal astrology and techniques. Its major shortcoming compared to Astrolog is a lack of pretty graphics, which I don't have time to program, but it -is- free. I personally don't use a house system, because I don't see what basis in reality they have. Jyotish uses the full-house system, where the houses are exactly aligned with the signs; I'd use that, if any. > Thanks in advance! > > Chris. Guest guest
Thanks, Jesse - I've downloaded the program, and it looks very useful Chris. Guest guest
Forgive me ,I am a long time lurker , a complete beginner . I have a colleague who is heavily into sidereal astrology and they worked out my chart for me ( 10.11.54 08.30 London UK ) They tell me that I am Libra with Libra rising and Moon in Aries . However, up until a couple of months ago I believed , mistakenly , that my time of birth was 06.15 ; using this data an online sidereal astrologer , a couple of years ago , still came up with a Libra asc . As I said a complete beginner , but I read some books and did a short course where I was taught that the asc moves every couple of hours - that being so would not my revised asc be Scorpio . If any of you well versed people could give me some advice on this I would be eternally grateful ! Bestest . (You answered this in another post--Nov 10) But it's a reminder for everyone to please spell out the month when posting birth data. In the U.K. it's day-month-year. In the U.S. it's customary to write month-day-year. Therese
