I don't have an Alt Gr key. Maybe that's only in the UK?

I fixed the Moon and Venus above. Sorry--old age lapse!

No, it wouldn't be stronger in your personality. This is one aspect of

Tropical astrology that has really caused a lot of misunderstanding--that

the entire chart has to do with a person's psychology. I haven't found that

to be true. Mostly it's the Moon--and the Sun less so that has to do with

personality. By that I mean aspecting planets to the Moon.

Hmmmm....getting to your Venus. You're an engineer. Do you use the keyboard

a lot or do drawings at all? Use computer design programs in your work? Can

you give us a few details of what your work involves? Your Venus is in a

mansion of Mercury, so somehow Mercury would come into how your Venus is used.

I'm rather happy that your Venus doesn't relate to sisters. I don't like

that kind of interpretation--that certain houses relate to various relatives.

The Tropoical system has the definitions of masculine and feminine mostly

backwards. You'll see what I mean when you read the zodiac articles. Maybe

I'll be able to get them on-line this week. I sent them to you in Word format.

I haven't convinced myself yet that the cardinal-fixed-mutable labels work

in the psychological sense. So let's toss those out for the moment. The

dominant angular configuration in your chart is Sun-Mer in 1st opposed by

Uranus in 7th and the Moon in Taurus in the 4th.

For those who look mainly at the planets, they'd say that the aspect of

Uranus to your Sun-Mercury would indicate quick changes and also perhaps

quick changing moods. (We are ignoring the supposed fixidity of Leo and

Aquarius here.) The aspect of Uranus dominates. Chalk one up for the

superiority of the planets over the signs.

Now taking the Moon in Taurus: In the Tropical zodiac Taurus is fixed. In

the sidereal zodiac Taurus is ruled by Venus and is the exaltation of the

Moon--a feminine sign to be sure, and the Moon is the all-around symbol for

change and adaptability.

Question: Two signs in the zodiac are said to be associated with

Mercury--Gemini and Virgo. Why is it that only Tropical Gemini has to do

with communication??

Answer: because it's not the association with Mercury that makes Gemini the

communicator. It's because it's the home of Venus and the exalted Moon, and

these are both feminine planets, and it's generally the ladies that do most

of the talking! (That is, if you take the world average.) The other two

signs of the Taurus triad are also into reading, writing and

communication--if they're situated in certain ways in the horoscope.

Tropoical Virgo isn't into communication--it's into work (the Sun, since

Virgo is sidereal Leo).

Skepticism comes mainly from Mercury, because Mercury is the thinker and

wants to be logical. Mercury wants the facts, not pie-in-the-sky theories.

Oh, right!! You are having a very important transit of Uranus now. It will

be continuing for awhile. Your ascendant, Sun and Mercury are in a rather

esoteric mansion belonging to the Moon's north node--Rahu. Let's see how

this turns out! And you've just discovered astrology.

Aquarius isn't related to rationality. Saturn and probably Mars are. Not a

zodiac sign, however. The signs have to do with activities. You have a nice

trine from Saturn in its own sign to your Moon. Aquarius lets the Sun and

Mercury act in a more Saturnian way, but it's Saturn itself that would have

to do with what is rational. Saturn is the scientist.

An interesting perspective! It's true that of the four triads, it's the

Gemini triad (Gem-Lib-Aqu) that have the most balanced male-female mixture

in the psychological sense. However, these are quieter and more autonomous

signs--the masculine polarity.

Yes, although sidereal astrologers greatly dislike the idea, the Tropical

people have actually helped us define the sidereal signs. They're very good

at theory!!

This is my point, and you'll see how all this can be practically applied in

the sidereal zodiac when you read the zodiac articles. Sigh....my converts

are mostly Tropical astrologers. Sidereal astrologers want to close the

book on anything Tropical, but I believe their observations can help us

understand the sidereal signs.
