Introduction

I'm new to the list so I thought I'd post and say hello. After this, I'll just

be lurking, reading, and soaking up knowledge.

 

I know just enough about astrology to be ignorant and dangerous. I know what a

Saturn Return is…I've lived through two of them…mine and my husband's…and I

think I deserve combat pay and a Congressional…okay…okay…I'll settle for a

Purple Heart and a reserved rocker at the Old Sag's Home…I wouldn't wish a

Saturn Return on my worst enemy.

 

I think I know what a Progressed Chart is…you calculate it like you're

calculating the Natal Chart only you change the " birth " time to an hour

later…and that gives you the Progressed chart for the next 12 months…Yes?

 

I know what Transits are…I'm not very practiced interpreting them

 

I don't know what a Lunar Progression is.

 

Interpretation is my weakest area, and that's where all the art is, and that's

what I need to work on most.

 

I would like to become a professional astrologer and toward that end, my next

intermediate goal is to save up enough to get into a good certification course

by correspondence. Can anyone recommend one? Barring that, I've determined I'll

just study and read and self-teach as much as possible. So this list is serving

as a text for me, if you will.

 

I like astrology as an esoteric art form because it has mathematical content and

structure and it seems a very useful tool. It is a blend of art & science and

this appeals to me very much. It reminds me of meteorology (I was a forecaster,

many years back) and I loved it for the same reason...a blend of art & science.
