Ron, would you care to elaborate? I look at the lunar returns and ennead, but don't progress the SR. I do look at transits to the SR and natal charts, however. So we have four ways of looking at the SR throughout the year: (1) sidereal progressions used by Juan, Bert, Matthew and others (2) 1 degree per day that you use (3) Actual transits on important dates (4) The ennead (40 day chart) discovered by Donald Bradley shortly before his death Who ever said astrologers didn't think for themselves!? Guest guest
Don't forget to do the lunar & lunar phase returns of the solar return.... I do look at transits to the SR and natal charts, however. < This is a direction of all planets and angles at 1*/day in the SR chart. In Solar Fire under Progressed, User rate directed. Use 365.256*/yr. Look for connections between ascendent lord, ascendent , relevant cusp and cusp ruler. In directed SR chart for Bush on 2 Nov--- 1.Directed nodes in the degree of SR nodes 2.Directed Asc lord Mercury squares SR MC etc Note that Raja saham(Arabic part) for kingship(1Ge40)is close to SR ascendent . Mercury is the saham lord. If examining the dasas used in varshphal(vedic SR), the compressed vimshottari for 2 Nov. from the varsh Mo is Sa and the patyayini dasa is Me. These planets are quite well placed from the ascendent and the muntha(progressed ascendent at one sign per year). The year lord is Moon so GB should have strong affinity with public. I hope this last bit is not too confusing but varshphal(Tajika) is a science in itself and probably outside the scope of this list. It can be added to your list of techniques though. My prediction re Bush is based on the assumption that there is an election. As you mentioned there may not be an election! A few notes and questions below for those who don't know Jyotish: >>If examining the dasas used in varshphal(vedic SR), the compressed >vimshottari for 2 Nov... Compressed vimshottari? Do you mean the dasas based on the solar return chart? >from the varsh Mo is Sa and the patyayini dasa is Me. Patyanini dasa? Please explain. >These planets are quite well placed from the ascendent and the >muntha(progressed ascendent at one sign per year). >The year lord is Moon so GB should have strong affinity with public. (Not in my book, but my opinion isn't relevant to this discussion. However, the Moon is G's natal ascendant lord.) >I hope this last bit is not too confusing but varshphal(Tajika) is a >science in itself and probably outside the scope of this list. Wish I had time to line up the similarities. What Jyotish program(s) do you use? Thanks, Therese

Do you mean the dasas based on the solar return chart?<< The 120 years of the vimshottari dasa is compressed to the year of the solar return. >Patyanini dasa? Please explain.< This is a dasa used in varshphal. It is based on degree values of planets from ascendent to Saturn. The dasa duration depends on the difference between adjacent degree values. >What Jyotish program(s) do you use?< Parasharas light Ron
Guest guest
Therese, Puh-lease! * His Yoga Return (Sun-Moon Phase) Nov 4, 2000 was the very crown jewel of Bush's election/selection suite. * Pluto rose on the ASC degree opposite Jupiter and t-square to Mars-MC. Sun/Moon 45 Mars (00*23')-MC (00*01') !!! * Dark*Star Therese Hamilton wrote: > The phase returns I don't look at since others have commented > they're not so accurate. > >
