Guest guest
Siderealists: a verse in sanskrit is like this : " kritikatah samarabhya triaviritya dashadhipa................... " Concerning the importance of the Pleiades in Hindu astrology: In reference to Krittika -Alcyone 2 with magintude 2.87 latitude +4/03/05 right ascension 3/47/43.4 Declination +24/07/02, longitude 6-taurus-08-07(sidereal longitude by considering value of mean ayanamsa 23/54/46.7 on jan 01 2004. In ancient times when this Sanskrit verse was written, the location of the nakshatras was determined by the Pleiades group of stars. The first nakshatra was allotted the sun as lord with the moon, mars, Rahu (ascending node or dragon's head), jupiter, saturn, mercury, descending node or dragon tail, & venus were given to the nakshatras in that order. These lords are repeated three times throughout the zodiac making a total of 27 nakshatras,a systematic arrangement. Let me be straightforward in order to avoid any confusion as far as the above quoted portion of my message is concerned : 1. Why isn't the ayanamsa uniform among astrologers calling themselves followers of sidereal astrology!? 2. If the tropical longitude of a planet is known, then simply the self-calculated value of the ayanamsa is substracted to get the sidereal longitude of the same planet! It means: different values of ayanamsa by different schools of sidereal astrology! 3. Why isn't there a universally accepted ayanamsa value among sidereal astrologers? 4. I am concerned that the predictive portion of astrology will be affected on account of the different values of the ayanamsa! 5. I am highly confused on this account! Why are there different ayanamsa values?
