Hello Tara,

I'm really sorry you are feeling confused. There are different opinions

about the sidereal signs, of which Juan Oliver's is only one. I have

researched the sidereal signs for 20 years, and I believe that much of what

the old western siderealists wrote is not correct. Please check out this

web site for the results of my research.

http://users.snowcrest.net/sunrise/LostZodiac.htm

These articles have information on sidereal Cancer and Leo. If you read the

three introductory articles on this site, they will give you a good

introduction and foundation for the sidereal signs. If these articles speak

to you, please feel free to print them out. These articles reflect

Bettina's outlook. Since you are especially interested in Cancer and Leo,

I'll try to get those signs posted this week on the site. Taurus will be

posted tomorrow (Today is Easter! May your day be blessed....).

Here on this site you'll find the very traditional sidereal astrologers

like Juan Oliver who pretty well follows the teachings and writings of

Cyril Fagan and Donald Bradley. Then you'll find the more modern

astrologers like Bettina, Anny and myself who have looked into

Jyotish/Vedic and formed our own opinions about the signs of the zodiac.

(Is it an accident that the three of us are women while most of the

traditional astrologers on this list are men with fixed (sidereal) signs

prominent in their horoscopes?!

Tara, there is no 'final' answer at this time. Astrology is in a shakedown

period, and there is disagreement about signs and rulers in both the

sidereal AND Tropical zodiacs. In my articles I'll be giving examples of

well known people who have signs prominent in their horoscopes. This will

help to give more of a grasp of the signs of the sidereal zodiac.

P.S. Expect counter opinions from traditional astrologers on this list.

Don't let them upset you. Think about yourself and other people you know

well and form your own opinion about signs of the zodiac.

Blessings,

Therese

Dear Sidereal:

I found your /group here, you can advertise it on my site if

you'd like!

I'd love to hear you describe....yourself,....via both your Western &

Eastern charts....

I think those of us who understand both systems...are the best

qualified...to help along this controversey that you speak about...

This Astrological, 'shake down' you mention, personally I think is

a very good thing...

because as I like to talk about on my natures astrology group, I

believe there has to be a blending of the best of the West & the

East...to truely move....Astrology into the future, and especially

into a growth, that will make it truely ....Scientific.

Astrology has such great potential, to not only....become,

scientific, but....to also, bring together all the other sciences and

Philosophys....

Plato talked about the great need of a First Science, which he

called Philosophy, ....which could unite all the diverse, complex

fields of life...

There is such a need for that today.

Principally, there is such tension between science and art,

between materialistic values and Spirituality.... between all the

new and abstract self-improvement technologies.... and

Philosphys....

Astrology has such potential to unite it all.

For, in the Astrological chart, are contained each and every

aspect of life....

The birth, is the first house,...

nourishment, and food are glimsed in the 2nd House...

3rd...siblings...

4th...mother...

5th....children... and Education!

6th...health....and health sciences....

7th....relationships....and think of all the people who are not

understanding....what is their more ideal relationship partner...

When looked at through, 'good astrology'...one should be able to

see not only the 'other'...but ourselves....

I'm enjoying you participating.... and like how you and I are doing

so much a similar thing, without even realizing...it....

take care

Mark Kincaid.....

Hi Mark,

I'm sorry, but you won't find anything similar to your light and open

Natures Astrology here. This site was started by members of the Cyril Fagan

western sidereal school. Don't even try to mention Tropical astrology. And

see what happens if you want to use any other ayanamsa except the

Fagan-Bradley value. You'll get some arguments or else you'll be met with

total silence. Well, maybe not quite. One or two list members may have

encouraging comments.

The oldtimers on this list are crusty older siderealists who emphasize the

mathematics of solar and lunar ingress and return charts. That is, when

they post messages, which generally isn't too often. The women don't stay

around except for three of us: Dark*Star, of the dedicated Fagan-Bradley

School, Anny, who sticks to her Krishnamurti and European guns no matter

what, and yours truly because I help to moderate the list, and because I'm

cantankerous enough to challenge the fixed sidereal belief structure that

is the foundation of this list.

Bettina was here for awhile, but left for the greener pastures of Natures

Astrology.

Cheers!

Therese

Therese,

I hope you divine charts better than you divine sex, else

your Krishnamurti goes to trash. Bi-zodiacal has

nothing to do with sex.

Mark, hang around and see what happens. The blending

of East and West began with the triple conjunction of

Uranus and Neptune in the last decade. It isn't about to

stop, despite old crusted sidereals or under-mercuried tropicals.

What is a divine chart and what has that to do with sex? Is a bi-zodiac

bi-sexual?

Bert,

I was merely tweaking Therese for assigning gender to screen names.

To divine: (verb tr) to read, scry the non obvious.

Perhaps bi-zodiacal like bi-sexual is a striving for Unity?

In which case the Sun~Moon would be index.

Figures.
