Guest guest
Hi Cynthia! Your sweetie-collegeprofessor was right about the " prove nothing " of Gauquelin's research. Gauquelin actually wanted to prove that astrology was fake (his father was an astrologer and his wife sofar I know, who helped him). Because he was not an astrologer himself -this he admitted to me once- after a side remark why Mars, in the birthchart's XIIth house -in my view- is not as typical for a sport's champions as considered by astrologers. So he just chose known persons (qua profession)to prove astrology being fake or not. Afterall astrologers have very much profit from his research on astrology. All, or at least many, charts are put into databanks. You are right about the rest, concerning prove. More astrologers think that way. An astrologer should have a pronounced Scorpio influence in the birth chart to enjoy scientifical research.I have several charts of members of a research society in my country, beside a fulltime practice, with a strong Scorpio influence, scientist or not. Since a few years I pick up challenges on astrology to tell what happened on a certain event, a certain date from a certain person's birth chart, somewhere in the world. It needs skill, if the test is considered as a major event. Yes indeed, a suicide. I learn from tests greatly, every time. Once I spoke an astrologer, who said, an succesful astrologer has at least passed three lives of full practice on astrology. A friend (clairvoyance) told me once, I was sort of the same person before, talking of astrology. I consider a next life necessary, as an astrologer in fulltime. I hope without hesitation, still being careful. Succes for you and nice weekend. Guest guest
Dear Anny The question I would ask you: What is scientific research in astrology? There are times a chart literally shows an event. But the more charts a person reads the more variations one sees in the potential outcome. When I started astrology it was presented as a detailed predictive tool. That was 30 years ago and a tropical astrology. That was also how Vedic was presented. Again, following the rules, the results are not always the same. Many good astrologers predicted that our president would die in office last summer. Many more, myself included, read the chart and thought he would lose his father. Instead, former president Reagan died. He was a father figure to the current president. The U.S. mourned the death of a president, but it was not GWB. So, I do my best and keep smiling I look forward to reading the results of your research. cynthia Anny van Berckel [avbdk] Friday, October 15, 2004 6:44 AM RE: Digest Number 913 Hi Cynthia!
