The more charts you do, and the more approaches you learn to apply, you'll

discover that if a person acts like a given sign, it's because that sign's

ruling planet is strong in their chart. There are several ways a planet can

be strong:

1) It forms a near-partile aspect to the Sun.

2) It's angular.

3) It makes a conjunction, opposition, square, semisquare, sesquiquadrate,

or 16th Harmonic aspect to the Sun-Moon midpoint.

Remember the following:

1) There are too many personality variations for looking at people primarily

with sun, moon, and rising signs to be useful.

2) Astrology is about helping you get out of your own box, and not for

putting people in boxes.

3) The Sidereal vs Tropical debate isn't about which box you fit in.

Rather, it's about whether correcting for precession is useful in

astrological forecasting. After all, discovering that correcting for

precession was the key to more accurate luminary return charts what led Cyril

Fagan to embrace the Sidereal Zodiac in the first place.

BTW, when I wrote

>> I'm please to see so many join -- so, if you'd be kind enough to introduce

>> yourselves, we'd all appreciate getting to know you.

I should have asked those who've never posted before to do the same.

And while we're at it, why are you here? What were you looking for when you

found out about this list? Where did you find out about this list? What

made you decide to ?

Thanks again, Crystal.

Later,

Kevin/Baraka

Welcome, Crystal - and thank you for the compliments - although at first

reading, I thought you were saying about me " Look it's the windbag " - which

would have been correct still :-) .

Very best - Sateesh.

Hi Kevin,

another new person here.

Quote above applies.

I am exploring all facets of astrology for just that reason.

Just joined a number of extra lists to widen the horizons.

Capricorn Sun that stays that way, looking forward to learning,

Hazel,

PS. Found you through e-groups.

Hi, Kevin.

Many thanks for the nice compliment.

And this line is a classic - have to keep it!
