Mother of All Asteroids

Virgo was a charmed part of the sky for Heinrich Wilhelm Olbers (b.

October, 1758). In 1796 he found his second comet South of Virgo's

brightest star, Spica. In 1802 he made the first recovery of 1 Ceres

in Virgo (thanks to calculations by mathematician Carl F. Gauss), a

year to the day after its discovery. A few months later he discovered

Pallas in the northern part of Virgo. Five years and one day after

that, he likewise spotted Vesta in Virgo, close to its current

location. Vesta's track among the stars this year is rather similar

to the course it took 196 years ago.

Was the naming of Vesta by Olbers arbitrary? If not, we have to

understand the Roman cult of Vesta. Vesta is the goddess of the

hearth fire, of both the home and the State; the eternal and holy

fireplace of spirit, the place where one dwells, i.e. state-of-being.

Virgo is an earth sign that makes the connection between the material

world and the heavenly world; analytical ability; seeks to make sense

out of the world, to observe, study, research, compare, and record.

Virgo likes paper, where ideas are presented in tangible form; often

a fine writer, poet, or critic.

The constellation Virgo is famous for its galaxies, and Vesta's

journey takes it past many such deep-sky denizens near the heart of

the Virgo Galaxy Cluster.

Vesta now resides in the constellation Virgo, the virgin. Around

10:30 p.m. on March 1 (9:30 p.m. March 15, 8:30 p.m. April 1), the

majestic maiden stands upright on your eastern horizon, stretching

halfway to the summit of the sky. Throughout March, the asteroid

lingers near her arm -- as if it's a stone adorning her bracelet.

T. Your contributions of 1984, 1965 and 1946 are interesting. I take

notice! For research!

Hello Therese!

Are you considering Zippora's birthtime 9.47 PM is UT? The Chart

I casted in my program produces + 5 hours voor Chicago Asc 9 Aries MC

24.45'Sag.

I thought it is more suitable to her initiatives in life. There is a

prominence

of Cancer in IV house radix.

The Navamsa chart shows Cancer prominent in I and Jupiter, Neptunus +

Saturnus

in Capricornus in Navamsa VII. Navamsa Ascendant is 27° Gemini, MC 12°51

Scorpio,

research. Most Astrologers, whom I know (known for their research)in

Holland, have

their Sun, or Moon, MC in Scorpio. I have Dobyns'time via Internet database.

Regards,

Anny

Anny, my program (Parashara's Light) gave a time change factor of 6 hours.

There was probably no daylight savings time in 1921 when Zip was born. The

Krishnamurti ascendant is 1Ta44. I forgot to note the MC, which requires a

special lookup in Parshara's Light. The time is 21:48 CST. I think because

the solar return Mars-Uranus falls so close to squaring the ascendant, that

the time must be correct.

Anny, I think we have another difference in looking at navamsa houses. I

count the navamsa 'houses' as signs, so only one navamsa sign is in one house.

The same planets are angular in the navamsa with the 6 hour time

adjustment. But the 1st and 7th houses are reversed, Capricorn in the 1st.

There is a section at the beginning of sidereal Scorpio that seems to be

related to astrology and research. I have Mercury at 5 Scorpio

(Lahiri/Krishnamurti). Mercury is rising, so it's strong.

Sincerely,

Therese
