Dear Kulbir ji,

 

Let me first quote the relevant passage from the book:

 

Mangal bud ka malik aise ghar mein janma lega jahan ki ek do pushta pahale koi buzurg poora brahaspati [ brahma guru] khalis sona ya shahana halat ho chuka ho aur har taraf sabje gulzar ba-raunaq bag laharata aur har taraf se malik ki nazar-e-inayat ho/ Jise aisa badnaseeb barbad kar sake

 

ujade khandanon aur veeran gharon mein kabhi mangal bad ya mangalik paida na hoga/

 

Aisa shakhsha amooman sakhta kadva swabhav, akkhad khan, ayyash tabiyat, kam aqla hua karta hai / sari hi umra gulami mein guzar dega / khud miyan fajeehat auron ko naseehat karne wala hoga/ munh faad kar ek ko uski sharmanak ya aib ki baten suna dega/ [ Mars in 4th house: note #3 ; page 497 ; 1952 urdu ed]

 

A few things become clear from the above statement:

 

[a] It is not necessary that in a family which has a ‘poora brahaspati’, a person who is noble and of royal demeanor will have some one with ashubh mangal in the 4th house a couple of generations later.

 

It is true that a person with ashubh mangal in the 4th house will be born in a family which has had some one great [poora brahaspati] a couple of generations earlier.

[c] The significant line of the above statement is : ujade khandanon aur veeran gharon mein kabhi mangal bud ya mangalik paida na hoga

A person with ashubh mangal in the 4th house will not be born in a family which is already ruined. Because there would be nothing left to squander and ruin under the influence of ashubh mangal.

[d] The family has to be flourishing and prosperous for an ashubh mangal to act as an agent of ruin.

I do not think that an ashubh mangal in the 4th house is any indication of a Pritri Rin, or a Pitri Shraap {pitri rin and pitri shraap are two different things}

Now let us solve the riddle of:

ek do pushta pahale koi buzurg poora brahaspati [ brahma guru] khalis sona ya shahana halat ho chuka ho

If a person has Jupiter in the 9th house this indicates that a buzurg of the previous generation [ek pushta pahale] has been a person of ‘poora brahaspati’ characteristics.

[ii] What if we trace back to yet a generation earlier [do pushta pahale]?

12th house indicates the previous birth. Taking the 12th house as the lagna and placing the Jupiter in the 9th amounts to Jupiter in the 8th house. If you notice that in the results of Jupiter in the 8th house it is said:

“ kabra,veerane aur khajane raakh se bharpoor karnewala; zamane ki hawa ko maut ke khooni toofan se gunja dega â€" jab shani ya mangal 4,7 ho [ page 284; 1952 urdu ed]

Therefore a person with ashubh mangal in the 4th house could squander and ruin a family which had flourished a couple of generations earlier.

As for the Upaya:

The 1942 edition gives quite a few upaya for different scenarios on page 176

to understand this is marvellous. Explanation of such points act as
