Guest guest
A few comments on the CapSolar and CanSolar ingresses I uploaded to the file section here: They are from Solar Fire 5. Tri-wheels showing the ingress on inner, mean Q1 progression on middle wheel, Loma Prieta transits on outer wheel. Solar Fire rounds up, so the actual transit Sun is 29 Vir 59'33 " , NOT 0 Lib 00. Retrograde planets are shown with red numerals. Charts are set for the quake epicenter as listed by USGS. The CapSolar is very straight-forward. Uranus on the MC, Pluto semi- square MC, Venus-Saturn conjunction (Venus-Saturn contacts are often present with tragic events, I believe pointing to the loss and grief) Moon-Mars partile conjunction square Sun, Jupiter sesqui-square Neptune. The quotidian MC (8 Vir 47) squares foreground ingress Uranus. Transit Jupiter has moved to oppose ingress Neptune and semi-square ingress Jupiter, a repeat of the basic pattern with the addition of transit Mercury. Q1 Moon has moved to the partile trine to ingress Saturn I'd have preferred a hard aspect, but Saturn is still Saturn, and it's a partile progression, reinforced with transit Saturn within one degree. I would have to disagree with Bob that the CanSolar does not show anything, especially through progressions. As the ingress indicates, the Moon, the people, the emotions become involved with Uranus, Saturn, and Neptune, but not in the foreground. Instead we have a Venus-Mars conjunction setting, but Venus and ASC tie to Moon/Neptune (13 Sag 25) and Moon/Saturn (12 Sag 53), fairly obvious midpoints to look at. Uranus and Pluto are just about equi-distant from the MC on either side; UR/PL = 12 Sco 49, again a fairly obvious midpoint to see. The nodal axis is at the horizon, with Rahu and Jupiter in mutual trine, not always a good thing. Jupiter also partile sesqui-squares Pluto. The mean Q1 progression of the CanSolar brings the Moon to conjoin Saturn within a degree, with transit Saturn and Neptune either side and transit Mercury square; transit Jupiter opposes ingress Neptune. The quotidian ASC conjoins ingress Jupiter, sesqui- squares ingress Pluto; quotidian MC at 11 Aqu 06 was still within one degree of the ingress Jupiter/Pluto midpoint (10 Leo 08). I think all this Jupiter emphasis points to two facts: 1) this was a costly event; 2) it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Venus foreground in the ingress and by transit may also be an ameliorating factor, though transit Venus was at the direct midpoint transit Saturn/Pluto (16 Sco 44). Now, would I have predicted an earthquake for this area from this CanSolar? Probably not. I would have been more likely to say something would happen in the US Midwest, where the Sagittarius cluster was at the MC, or in Bangladesh, Burma, or eastern India, with the cluster on the IC. But with the CapSolar and LibSolar, I think I would have been concerned for the Left Coast. (BTW, the LibSolar MC is always close to the CapSolar MC. I'm not sure why exactly, but probably someone else here has an explanation for it.) To me, progressions are part and parcel of the ingress charts. I don't think the 8th harmonic aspects are minor, any more than the quincunx is minor. Partility counts. Obviously, midpoints count, especially when they are part of a pattern as the CanSolar indicated; they're further " conditioners " or " flavorings. " An ingress Venus conjoining Mars and being colored by MO/NE and MO/SA is not a particularly happy Venus. A transit Venus in Scorpio at the SA/PL midpoint is not a happy Venus. As I said in a previous post, I did not find a lot of consistency or any blatantly outstanding patterns when I worked with dozens of earthquake charts years ago. But I was looking at quakes from about magnitude 5 and above, not all of which were major or involving loss of life. In other words, I was looking for an " earthquake " signature, not necessarily a " tragedy. " And if I had my druthers, I'd really like to see activity at the ASC, which is dependent not only on time and longitude, but also on latitude; in other words, a real time/place stamp. But....
