Guest guest
Mr. Rogers' data has just been posted on the NCGR list. Please see below for the post. This is as good an example as any to see if the sidereal theory of solar returns checks out. The theory is simple: malefics on the angles are going to bring something unfortunate and benefics will bring something good. Here are the comparative Sidereal and Tropical positions (Krishnamurti): SIDEREAL: Natal Asc: 22Ar41 Natal Mars: 23Cp26; Death return Asc: 12Ar44; Mars: 20Ar12; Neptune 16Cp27 Mars and Neptune are the only angular planets. Note the double angular Mars--natal and death solar return charts. TROPICAL: Natal Asc: 15Ta26; Mars 16Aq11; Death return asc: 10Ar44; Venus: 15Ar27; Jupiter: 6Cn12 (cusp SR 4th) natal Jupiter: 12Ar27 (conj SR asc) natal Pluto: 15Cn0R Note that except for Pluto, all the angular planets are benefics. Sure, Tropical astrologers can make a case for, " Jupiter tells the story. He's been released from the suffering of stomach cancer and can go to heaven. And natal Pluto is angular. And the natal ascendant is (probably) in the 12th house. His death is very clear in the chart. " This is an example of why western sidereal astrologers have discarded so much of Tropical 'airy-fairy' thinking. In my opinion, they've discarded too much in the interests of simplicity, but it's interesting that the solar return chart of Mr. Rogers supports sidereal theory. Sincerely, Therese ----------------------- NCGR Post (partial) From Peter: Dear Astro-Friends, The Associate Press has two stories about Mr. Rogers this weekend- " " Thousands gather in Pittsburgh on Saturday to honor Mr. Rogers, " and " An Asteroid was named after Mr. Rogers. " Steinbrecher gives the following birth data on Mr. Rogers (Fred McFeely Rogers): Born on March 20, 1928 at 8:20 a.m. in Latrobe, PA. Steinbrecher quotes that his info form was filled out by Mr. Rogers personally in July of 1991...he died of stomach cancer on Feb. 27, 2003...
