I can't recall a nice Venus that didn't like a good meal and glass of fine wine--Venus in Libra comes to mind in a number of charts. On the other hand, Venus in Scorpio or less developed Venus' may have no such appreciation for a good wine or for beauty and comfort for that matter. The idea here is that the finer the Venus, the higher the appreciation. > > > >Venus rules the home and family relationships. The home is where > quiet > is...supposedly. No one said Venus was to be found in the competitive working world--places of beauty and leisure, incense, flowers, pleasures of the senses, the company of women...are the places of Venus. Best time for a really enjoyable evening, a movie and meal out, and for buying clothing, flowers, gems etc is under a nice Venus transit. > Frills and sparkles and jewels--that's Jupiter. I like life and clothing to be very simple and plain. Plain and simple dress can still be beautiful and esthetically pleasing..... > Jewels and > adornments are for queens and such. Only for queens?..... I think many women (and perhaps men) would disagree with this. Perhaps the simple adornment of a flower in one's hair (if you're going to San Francisco). I think the natives of Hawaii and other similar islands have a better understanding of this. Best, Steve >
Guest guest
HI All Venus in Pisces here. I like chocolate....but only dark Belgian. Wine is OK, but well seasoned food with interesting textures is better. I can be playful and eat almost anywhere, but will make you a dinner from home made rolls...from scratch, tasty soup all the way to flaky pastry and not mind the trouble. If you bring something interesting to the conversation, I'll invite you back. I would not say that I'm particularly social, I enjoy visiting with neighbors in my front-yard flower garden, U'd rather be doing things than sitting around and talking. I suspect that is Saturn. BTW, I'm very happily in a relationship with a man who shares my Sun and Moon constellations, but not nakshatras. He has SAturn opposing the Sun by 3 minutes! Who else could live with him except someone who has things that keep her busy? I've seen a number of clients with Venus in Scorpio that are rather suspicious in relationships. They have to decide if it is worth their time and their trust. That may be more a statement of my clients. Many of whom are business women and driven career professionals. It may be more our vantage point than a blanket truth. I will say that they don't hesitate to talk to people and get out in the world. Have any of you noticed differences in men and women? For example, I rather like MArs and Rahu in men, but find that in women is comes out in a really different direction. KEtu with Mars seems just fine in a woman, but in men is really goes in some strange directions....again, from my experience. c
Guest guest
Dear All I had too much coffee this morning and wanted to clarify, what I meant about Venus Rahu for women would more exactly be put that it is harder on THEM than Mars with Rahu in men. IT's easier in society for men to express that directness and drive, with women, we need to adapt and adjust or get called the B word. So, sometimes, it comes out in passive aggressive rather than directly aggressive as it does for men. Still pretty darned successful and determined. Similarly for men with Mars and KEtu. c cynthianovak [cynthianovak] Sunday, July 11, 2004 9:44 AM RE: Re: Venus and Scorpio HI All Venus in Pisces here. I like chocolate....but only dark Belgian. Guest guest
Cynthia ... An observation: Mars/Rahu cnjs CAN be violent. Of course other things must comply. Once knew a man with Scorpip rising and Mars cnj Rahu in 8th in Gemini (I find that Mercury ruled signs can make Mars irritable). Mars sq'ed Sun, Mercury, Jupiter and Neptune. He was physically and verbally abusive to his wife. Also OJ has the cnj in 10th (we don't have proof that he done it, but .......). Rahu seems to bring out the worst and the most Marsy in Mars. Also, another observation, this one about Venus in Scorpio: they're often quite friendly in a hail fellow well met sort of way, but oh, so unreliable. Plan to meet them at the corner of Main and Elm at one o'clock and you can almost count on them being an hour late. Scorpio being Mars ruled, they just don't tune into the others agenda. .... Guest guest
I have a friend who has Venus on the MC in Libra who has collected a large cellar of wine. He's always in the art galleries. Jupiter-Saturn is found, however, in the natal themes of winemakers, representing the wines laid down for maturation over time. Wine as a drink is Moon-Venus (a pleasurable liquid) + Node (alcohol; the moslems would say a devil). Pluto requires the addition of a cellar to the picture.
