Guest guest
Hello Shaziya ji, I spent most of my early years in Indore, moving out in early 70s. I am a male, by the way (Rohiniranjan is the name). I have been in jyotish for many many years now and have been contributing to and writing articles in a variety of publications (Astrological Magazine, Times of Astrology and a few other western publications and websites etc). A collection of my writings and bio exists at the two sites I indicated in my message. One of them also includes an article on a research topic I worked on some years ago. , " Shaziya Khan. Guest guest
Please understand this, Shazia ji! I am not a guru or teacher, never claimed to be one and do not wish to be addressed like that. We are all students, no one is perfect and as long as we live in this earthly reality, let us accept that, as is! If we are going to talk and discuss honestly on this -- for me my *home*, let us drop all drama and let us be fiercely direct! I do not approach a chart the same way as some may do, with black and white views about this or that planet, including nodes having a place where they simply cannot go wrong and are expected to be either BAD or GOOD. Particularly nodes who are not planets but mirrors. This is why they serve so well as surrogates. rr , " Shaziya Khan. Guest guest
Don't feel bad, it is not your fault. Jyotish is currently going through a major disillusionment. Ultimately all hype will come down, the real and mistaken. We are all still on the ground floor, let us just explore that before we start scaling the entire highrise! I have seen a few of your postings on other sites under your email address and the other vedic and astromind pennames. I hope you are spending at least two hours daily with charts with full concentration and no internet 'noise' distracting you? , " Shaziya Khan. Guest guest
Shaziya, You or others might have read me criticizing internet and how it is not conducive to sincere and serious jyotish (as opposed to a face to face group, etc or even a face to face reading) but there is ONE aspect to internet astrology that you would not find elsewhere, it is the number of 'hits', the sample size. I have written about this elsewhere but if there was no internet, I would not have been able to acquire experience to the extent that was possible. Where else, how else can one come into contact with so many nativities and so many charts with ongoing, even real time interaction. It is a beautiful way to build a library of charts and you should not let this opportunity pass. You will not be doing yourself good service if you delete requests. Instead of thinking of that as a burden, so many people asking you, think of them as friends who if approached properly and sincerely will give you the experience that no book or article or meditative astrology (armchair astrology!) can provide. I know some of the requests are unreal in one or other ways and so there will be some time lost, but that is part of business of living! You should go with your gut feeling and instinct too. Pick the ones that you feel drawn towards, develop a bond, a rapport with them. They will give you so much practical and real knowledge and practice that your experience will flourish like you would not believe! Let your inner spirit be the judge. Collect data like there is no tomorrow, insist on getting a few full dates from each individual you read for. It might seem a bother right now but in five to ten years when you look back to your databank, you will see rich material for teaching and learning and research. This kind of data from real, regular people is way better than celebrity charts that most individuals work with and write books and articles about. Tell me, how many times in your lifetime would someone like Gandhiji or Hitler or Shahjahan or Yogananda or Vivekananda or Maulana Abul Qualam Azad or Amitabh Bachchan for crying out loud will come to you for guidance and reading? It will be the prakashes and John and Ahmeds and Indus and Inders that will come for a reading. You have got to get experienced in their reality and astrological rules you will find out do not behave the same for all strata of society and beings. The same gajkeshari will blossom differently in different cohorts of humanity. Do you think you see the sense in what I am saying? And, please never feel responsible for fixing all the world's problems. Watch out from becoming a participant in nativity's karmic drama, and if you must do that, do with proper knowledge and experience. For the most part we are observers, like other professionals. They give advice from a distance. It is essential. Doing this will never drain you energy-wise and you will begin to feel the karmic high that selfless service gives. And, never do this by sacrificing your personal life! best wishes, rohiniranjan , " Shaziya Khan. Guest guest
Pankaj, You are doing good work. It will be my privilege to serve jyotish with you. You seem to have this larger than life image of me somehow :-) I am a very ordinary person and there is much that I must learn still. I will be happy to help, but really am not of a stature of people who can guide and bless. If questions are asked, I will try to answer -- though I am not much in favor of giving internet readings on newsgroups. The readings should be done in a private setting, in peace and for that I advise people to find a local astrologer and spend some time. It is almost like a medical consultation. However, many are very impatient and are suffering, so this kind of emergency room treatment would have to do, I suppose. Best is to carry on as usual -- and don't worry about sensitivities etc. I am not really a very sensitive person -- after all I grew up in Indore -- very close to Malwa Mill ;-) RR , " Pankaj Upadhyay " <sai_jyotish> wrote: > > Respacted Rohiniji > pls. i am very sorry in my previous posting by mistake i had writen > assistance where as i had to type guidence.
