Guest guest
Chris, the 2:17-2:21 USA chart is discussed in Marc Penfield's HOROSCOPES OF THE USA AND CANADA and also in an article in ISAR's Fall 1999 issue of 'The International Astrologer.' To quote from the TIA article: " ...I came across a biography of John Hancock entitled PATRIOT IN PURPLE. On page 228 of that book it states, " for three days impassioned oratory, pro and con, echoed throughthe government chamber. At last, about two o-clock in the afternoon of the fourth, the great white aper was reported out of the committee to the House with a recommendation for approval, and was immediately ratified. Hancock and his secrtary, Charles Thomson, were then ordered to authentiace it with their signatures in the customay mananer of handling all congressional measures... " " ...if you happen to have a spare $100 bill lying around, look at th back at the clock on Independence Hall. The time shown is between 2:20 and 2:25 p.m... " Marc Penfield precession corrects his Tropical charts for transits and returns. In these two articles he discusses why some of the other U.S.A. charts aren't viable in his opinion. What I like about this chart is the close trine of Jupiter (and the Sun) to the Ascendant. The USA is Big and a major power in the the world. (Right now grossly misused power, but power none the same...) Tropical astrologers talk about this Scorpio ascendant being represented by the USA Eagle. This is totally misplaced symbolism because Scorpio has nothing to do with the eagle. It just shows how modern astrology has corrupted the meanings of zodiac signs when astrologers talk about Scorpio being the scorpion or the eagle. However, the eagle was Jupiter's bird. I haven't really checked out the various charts for the U.S.A. But whatever chart is valid, I always believed there had to be a Jupiter aspect to the ascendant, and in Jyotish the trine is the strongest aspect Jupiter can make. Guest guest
Therese, Thanks for all your leg work. Glad to see it has some basis, although that's not critical. I agree about the Jupiter influence. Also it's important that the chart ruler Venus is in good shape too. One has to explain the Saturn aspect from the 12th to the 11 lord Sun however. Not exactly a textbook chart for wealth and gains. Unless it implies that gains are ill-gotten through hidden or nefarious means. See free masons and the Illuminati for more details...
