You know, for some time now I've seen Edwards with light around him. I'm not sure what that means in terms of the present election, however. Perhaps at some future date his role for America will be crucial. Or maybe he's just a really good person. >Do we have a true time for Kerry? This is what I'm wondering about too. I continue to have an unsettled feeling about Kerry's chart. It may be we'll have to depend on the GW/Cheney charts for a final answer. >When I just look at the 7th house it makes perfect sense: More than 1 >marriage, Moon in Taurus, he married a wealthy woman; Mars retro in the 7th >conjoined Uranus, he doesn't want details of his divorce public <who would?> >Both Kerry and W. have Uranus strong in their return charts for 2004, >assuming that these are as powerful as y'all say, that should indicate a big >change for both. Looking at several sets of charts it almost looks like the party that appears to be victorious at election time might not be the party that is inaugurated in January. To compound the confusion Kerry has his birthday in December (new solar return chart) and Cheney has is birthday in January of 2005. There are just too many charts to consider if we include lunar returns, solar returns and the ennead (the 9 cycles of the solar return). Then siderealists always look at the residence returns while others look mainly at the birth place returns. Angular planets shift between the two kinds of charts. >I'll have to wait and see how W. does after Saturn pulls off his Moon, he >has amazing resiliance to these heavy transits. I'm ready to >learn, but hope your prediction of a terrorist attack is wrong. I find your rambling enlightening! I also ramble when I begin to discuss the return charts for the contenders. There are different ways of looking at the charts, and then there's the question of timing. For example, Cheney's lunar return for early November could hardly be worse. But later in the month there seems to be a big change (new lunar return). It's a puzzle. Will confusion reign again for this election? Will we be seeing reversals and hidden underhanded tactics? Uranus rules electronic voting machines. I thought after the genuine astrological confusion of Election 2000, that this election would be clear cut. But no...not if you consider the astrology from November 2 through to the unauguration date. Uranus/Pluto are everywhere. You reminded me to post the Cancer ingress with the Krishnamurti ayanamsa. I'll see if I can get the chart on-line today. The siderealists and tropical astrologers use their Cancer ingresses for the following three months. I use it only for a month, and then jump to the Leo (Krishnamurti) ingress in August. Thanks for your reply, Cynthia. I've seen firm predictions on both sides of the election ticket. This includes Jyotish. Predictions on both sides from different astrologers! Therese

However, the 8:03 AM time quoted at astrodatabank more than takes care of this--Saturn is only approx 7* from the 7th cusp and therefore fully aspecting the ascendant. With Neptune at the MC, closely trine by Uranus, while the Sun/Moon opposition is in mundane square to Neptune, he nearly wins the Lurch look-a-like contest. (from the Adam's family :>)) " You rang? " The Moon is 'hemmened in' between Mars and Saturn and is also at the degree of their midpoint. While rational Mercury is looking good, I would be concerned about his emotional health. Shil-Ponde gives this explantion of Sun rising in Jyestha from " Hindu Astrology " : " A disreputable character; is a deep thinker with a rather spiteful and revengeful nature. Guest guest
Dear Therese Thank you, yes Uranus is everywhere. I decided that the 11-2 charts would show more about Kerry and Edwards because that is when things change for them is they win or lose....and 1-20-05 is when things change for W and Cheney. Assuming Cheney's chart is accurate, he has Uranus transiting the 7th cusp and W. has Rahu on the MC. That sounds like a big change. Kerry has Pluto conjoined the Sun tightly, but departing on 11-2. I wonder if Kerry wins what that progressed Mars direct on his natal Retro Mars might mean. still musing c Therese Hamilton [eastwest] Sunday, July 11, 2004 10:01 AM Re: Election 2004 At 08:25 AM 7/11/04 -0500, Cynthia wrote: >So, what does your 90% clarity reveal? Hi Cynthia, About the progressed Mars, I couldn't say. I don't use progressions except that once in a while I look at tertiaries, since Richard Houck recommended them. And his predictions were always accurate. He used the sidereal zodiac, but sometimes included western techniques. Mars for Kerry is a complex issue because it's his ascendant lord and the dispositor of the Sun. Therese
Guest guest
Dear All Here is my prediction for the election: Kerry has the next 2-4 weeks to surge ahead but does not make it W. starts to regain place in the polls in Sept. The October eclipse on W. Moon and Jupiter turn in his direction but he struggles with self doubt and anxiety. W. wins but it is a really tight race with many people angry and demonstrations in November Edwards wins by getting national exposure Kerry gets really angry as does the Dem. party powerful. Cheney gets a new job and is not happy about it but does it. W. has a hard time with it, but allows another VP to be selected...Could be McCain. Now, W. is feeling the pain of Saturn square Moon....he can't even trust the advice of the CIA! If kerry can't come up with a real plan in the next few weeks he is doomed...although he is a fierce contender...more fierce than some imagine and that could come out in anger when the camera is on or something like the Dean fall. That's my best shot...I think that all the Uranus is a different VP smiles c
Guest guest
Houck was very accurate in his predictions. Except in his own chart where he was in denial of death up to the very end. But then we are all blind of eyes in looking at our own charts. That Saturn was so very strong in his chart had to be pointed out to him.because he could never see it. In his death solar he had Sun-Mercury-Venus in the 8th Placidian. The Venus made a partile square to his natal .ASC. I recognize my bias and project Kerry the winner when in actuality I see legitimate arguments for dubya continuing as President. The Lunar Phase Returns for Kerry and Bush prior to election are great fodder for the researcher.... It will be a close race... Election day has the Sun square Neptune. How the candidates' " properties " relate to that and the applying Mars/Saturn square occurring simultaneously reveals the victory and the loss... Its the Mars/Saturn square that hurts dubya more than it hurts Kerry. Fagan/Stahl/Ayanamsa-Campanus House................ Relocating Kerry's Natal to Washington DC and quotidian progressing it to Nov.2nd 2004 shows transiting Mercury conjunct his progressed Ascendant square with Kerry's natal Jupiter. On election day, words will express his(Kerry's) elevated " Honor " .... I like Kerry's natal Mars in all this.... The quincunx to 11/2/04 Sun and simultaneously in aspect to dubya's Pluto(natus) /Neptune(transit) opposition. Kerry takes on dubya effectively.... I just hate the fact that dubya's sun rises(conjunct ASC.) as the polls close on the West Coast. Jivio
Guest guest
Juan, Thanks for these comments. I appreaciate the time you took to write them. I'm printing out the various comments on this list to check back on later. I need a break from looking at the charts, but I may comment on what you wrote below a little later. Guest guest
John, this is not a list for strong political statements divorced from astrology. If this line of discussion continues, you will be returned moderated status. There are political lists on the internet if you want to talk about forces for good. Thanks to everyone for your views of the astrology of the election. I'm printing them out to read in retrospect in 2005. I'll be on record for truth or otherwise with an article in the NCGR Memberletter. Guest guest
List members, Please everyone, this isn't a political forum. Discussion of election charts is fine, but we don't want to begin an all out 'battle of the good' here. People are still hurting and angry from the last election. John, please note the copy of your post below, which clearly states " it has nothing to do with astrology. " There are plenty of people who believe that GB is evil incarnate and just as many 'Christians' believe that those who hold that opinion are in league with the devil. To each his own, but let's stay with astrology on this list.
