Newbie questions - Ayanamsha and techniques

Hello everyone,

 

I am new to the list and to sidereal astrology (whether occidental or

oriental). So few questions come to me mind:

 

(1) In western sidereal astrology what is the main ayanamhsa and its

basis?

 

(2) Can I use tropical techniques (such as Morin's) in sidereal

astrology? This would simplify my studies!... ;-)

 

(3) Should I use a static precession rate (which one) or a dynamic

one, such as the one given by Astrolog?
