Guest guest
Kit, Thank you, as this is further proof that degree meanings can be carried across zodiacs. Alan Leo said that the tropical 27 Leo-Aquarius axis was prominent in the charts of astrologers (he had Saturn there). For a long time I have been finding it in the sidereal charts of astrologers. We don't need 1500 charts to prove anything, just: once = discovery twice = verification thrice = Eureka! ~ Unless one's Saturn is very large, in which case no number of charts is enough. Back before the medical profession started killing everybody...iatrogenic...we would have called you a prominent Neptune, no ADD on necessary. Guest guest
My son has this and Dyspraxia - he is almost 13 - 19 June 1991. Throughout my life I have noticed that Gemini's most often have ADD type personalities, the only medication I give Calvyn is Fish oil and Evening Primrose. Ritalin & amphetamines have not been researched enough and IMHO should not be put anywhere near a developing brain. Exercise helps, and as Teresa says so does nature. It is I think in essence a condition of conflict. Guest guest
Dear Therese...Thanks for kind words. Definitely as you said thereare diagnoses for ADD. 10 years ago I couldn't find a Doc. All they could do is scream Prozac and send you away. I liked it, it didn't like me. Having tried all prozac meds, lithium, wellbutrin. Adderall and dexedriene worked the best for me. But speed kills and after 2 years I had to stop. Since 2002 I have been free of meds. Oh yes Ritalin was the first ADD drug. It was awful and late afternoon was when it started dropping you like a rock off cliff. Astrology was my savior. I finally found something which held my interest. And in my opinion one of the keys to ADD life is finding that passion which drives you like no other. But my work has suffered terribly since leaving meds. Can study only briefly in morning, then I'm reading babble which I can't retain. I think part of my problem was alcohol/cocaine use 20 years ago. Another form of medication. The acute cocaine use caused systemic shortages of blood flow to brain, consequently I think that's why I'm adverse to all meds. Exercise is wonderful for me. With Mars rising in Sage I'm always doing something athletic. Overall besides miswired brain I'm in excellent health for 51. Also just tried Straterra for 1 day, didn't like side effects. Guest guest
Hi Kit ... I just ran off your chart on my Parashara's Light program to have a look-see at what is causing your ADD problem. Personally I think that it's something that can show up in different ways, and I'm inclined to agree up to a point with people who say it's not ALWAYS a problem in itself, but has to do with the person's traits not fitting in with what's expected of them in our society and our educational system. However, when it comes to zero impulse control and destructive behavior, then it is a pathological condition. Yes, Mars on asc gives you so much physical energy, esp in expansive Sag, that you have a hard time reining it in. Saturn also being angular and throwing a forwards sq. to Mars, which is not as restrictive as the backwards, shows a conflict between the Mars force, which is pure impulsive energy, and the Saturn force, which holds back and steps on the brakes. This can result in anger and frustration and have physical repurcussions like accidents and psychosomatic illness. I think too, that you're a rugged, outdoorsy sort of person. You'd probably enjoy the life of say, a forester, to sitting at a desk. Sun and Mercury in 11th are good; life provides you with respectibility and fulfillment of your main desires. You land in pretty good situations. Also, asc. ruler Jupiter is in 5th house, a benefic house and that Jupiter throws a full aspect to the Sun and Merc. Another interesting thing is that Pluto is sq your Merc. I'll just tell you what I've noticed about people with aspects between those two. They're usually more intelligent than they seem on the surface, and I can't quite figure out the mechanics behind it. Sometimes they will express themselves verbally in a way that bothers others. This can be different for different people. I know one man who jokes incessantly, and the jokes aren't usually funny. Another man compliments people to the point that they doubt his sincerity. Another person, a woman, constantly apologizes when there's no reason for it. There's a compulsivity there that seems to be covering up what is really going on in the mind. All three of these people are intelligent. Does this make sense? If it does, I'd like if you'd explain to me, because it puzzles me why this asp. works in this way. Then, with Jupiter opposing Merc, there's so much going on in your mind, and you're taking so much in, that you can't really process and organize it all successfully. I believe that I'm also ADD and my chart is radically different from yours. I have a weak Mars. My Merc. is cnj. Neptune, Moon cnj. Uranus. We both have angular Saturns, tho. It seems that anything that throws off one or both of the mind planets (Merc and Moon) results in some kind of mental disfunction; not neccessarily terrible ones. By the way, have you ever been tested for bipolar disorder? Some of the things you said about yourself made me think of that. BP people can be super creative and mentally active. I read somewhere that something like 25 % of the most famous poets in western literature were (or are) BP. In your Navamsa chart (9th harmonic) Neptune is on the asc. This would be where the psychic sensitivity comes in. Mars is also there and Mars/Neptune asps should stay away from drugs. Unfortunately they're the very ones most attracted to them. .... Jyotish would consider it an aspect. >the only medication I give Calvyn is Fish oil and Evening Primrose. Evening primrose? A flower essence? (...) It is I think in essence a condition of conflict. Meaning some kind of internal mental or emotional conflict? One thing I've noticed about the two family members who have the ADD behavior pattern: They both have prominent Moons and I'd call them both self-absorbed to the extent that they don't seem to be aware very much of other people or of what is around them. They seem to live in some kind of internal nether world but like to exhibit behavior that will make people notice them. The 7 year old can't seem to tolerate not being the center of attention. At the same time, she's unaware of where others around her are coming from. Therese
