Perhaps one - or hopefully more- of the more experienced siderealists

hanging out can suggest a couple good books for Tara so she can learn to

cast and read her own chart. I'd do it myself but i don't know any right

now. I read more by a sort of translation from tropical works, and i've

got a couple other weird idioyncratic techniques as well. To be honest,

i'd be interested in knowing which are considered " essential " works in the

sidereal tradition.

Sidebar, Tara's going through the Uranus square? I just finished one of

those not too long ago. No fun at all...hahaha! Started out with feeling

all stifled and confused, by the time it was all said and done a lot of my

priorities in life had changed dramatically and i finally came to the

conclusion that i'm actually mortal (i know it now but i still don't like

it!) I wonder what your experience of this period has been.

take care all

Vincent...

Share your " weird idiosyncratic techniques " with us....

you write...> I'd be interested in knowing which are

Sidereal Astrology begins in 1947 with Cyril Fagan.

http://www.magee.demon.co.uk/fagan.htm

What follows(1947) are a few books and revolutionary efforts made to

create new and insightful charting techniques. Currently most if not

all books on Sidereal Astrology are out of print. Do a google search

for information on Sidereal Astrology and an authors name such as

Allen, Stahl, Gleadow, Bradley or Fagan. Suggest reading the book by

Bradley.. " Taking the Kid Gloves off of Astrology " ... By 1974, they

are all gone!

Within Sidereal.zip the following information on " signage " exists.

http://users.cwnet.com/~sidereal/mag/signs.html

When one is introduced to astrology, they first come face to face

with the zodiac. Aires, Taurus, Gemini etc. are our first contact.

Eventually its not the sign but the planet that matters and the

relationships between planets. You stress this point as you wrote

the following:

In Sidereal Astrology, signage is background material. Signage is

relative but in measured context. In Tropical Astrology, signage is

essential. Without the signs, Tropical would not exist...

In perspective, measure for yourself what is genuine and what is

speculation?

Ask yourself how important is myth(signage is immersed in it)?

How can you divide the constellations into 12 equal parts of 30

degrees each and come up with 12 distinct signs?

The constellations are of various sizes.

How many of the constellations measure one twelfth of the ecliptic

(30 degrees)? (Answer.. Not one is exactly 30 degrees)

When the planets and lights travel through the constellation of

Ophiuchus why is it said to be in Scorpio and defined as such?

The interpersonal relationships of the planets and the lights with

the angles is what Sidereal Astrology is about. Cyclical phenomena's

included..... Ours is not a perfect model but its the finest

predictive tool available. Possibly its the fundamental structure

that " make it so " ....
