My brief response to Juan

Those who had read my postings to the different astrological lists already know

that I elude personal debates and just try to focus on ideas.

 

I am sorrry if some of you got the impression that my previous posting was

aimed at Juan Revilla. Well if you thought that, you are wrong.

 

My posting was directed to criticize the use by astrologers of charts that have

no historical basis or that are not based on birth certifcates.

 

It is not possible to synthesize in an email all the arguments already given on

why of the different charts proposed for USA why the Boyd`s chart has the

minimum historical support and basis.

 

But what is more important, confronted both charts with a series of main events,

more than 30, the july 4th chart, with the known limitations it has since we

avoid the exact hour when the draft was approved, has a lot of more precise

correspondences.

 

In his reply Juan relies on the " work of brilliant astrologers " who had worked

positively with the Boyd chart as an argument for backing his assertion.

 

Well, for me a brilliant or just good astrologer is someone who sees the future

with the aid of a zodiac and not a person who reads and interprets the past with

astrological language, as what is frequently done in the astrology books and

lists.

 

And so far I had never read a mundane prediction made accurately with the Boyd

chart.

 

Just between us, the members of this list, not even Robert Hand qualifies, in my

opinion, as a good astrologer, since I had never found that he has anticipated a

single event. What I do recognize is his academic knowledge and his expertise in

the history and development of astrology.

 

As an example in my posting of that unfortunate trend I mentioned that

astrologers although lacking Irak and Hussein charts are now claiming they had

anticipated the war.

 

The public is not so dull to believe them. Everybody who read the newspaper was

able to know that Bush would attack Irak.

 

It was the task of astrologers to say when but nobody said it.

 

Ed , please don`t misunderstand the following, but I would ask Juan to not put

me in the same basket with you, because although we are at this moment

transiting the same path, the motives and reasons we have are very

different.Indeed the aproach we have to astrology differ considerably.

 

But of course these differences can not affect at all the sympathy I have for

you nor the respect I have for the other list members. By the way thanks for

your words referring to my posting.
