Guest guest
Dear Mrs.Wendy and Patrice, Not meaning to advise anyone here. But The recent thread is the outcome of more than prolonged and unnecessary conversations, which need not be elongated to the level witnessed, by all participating members, unless it carries astrological content. When extra talk is there, then it most of the time bound to end in some sort of squabble. All members should refrain from taking non-astrological posts, to a length any further than desirable. I do not know about member Eligo. but I know this much that RRji is like a small child who gets carried away when his mother is present around, and does that extra mischief, of course which is innocent. Here also he has evidently felt the warmth and presence of a Home, and carried his innocent expressions a bit far, which must be ignored and forgotten, since I believe he is a harmless and a soft soul, who bears hurt to none. sorry for taking the time. regards, Bhaskar. jyotish-vidya , " Patrice Curry " <patricecurry wrote: > > Dear Wendy and List, > > As moderator, I wish to send my apologies for not seeing this recent > exchange sooner. > > Also, I want to let you know I've written privately to Eligio and asked him > to consider rejoining. Guest guest
Dear Bhaskar, Thanks for sharing your thoughts and insights, and kind words. In doing this supporting the atmosphere or energy of our list and it's much appreciated. It's great to see members express their thoughts - and in doing so brings, or continues, this warmth and presence here. Thanks Bhaskar. Guest guest
Dear Bhaskar, ///The recent thread is the outcome of more than prolonged and unnecessary conversations, which need not be elongated to the level witnessed, by all participating members,/// It would be good to remember that this is a discussion group...discussion involves conversation, Bhaskar, and many do learn from such discussions (myself included). I would not want this group to lose it's ability for meaningful debate because of the attitude of a vociferous minority. ///unless it carries astrological content./// The recent 'discussions' were indeed relevant to jyotish (as well) as to the conduct of this group. ///When extra talk is there, then it most of the time bound to end in some sort of squabble./// This is nonsense! Long and meaningful discussions between like-minded astrologers should never end in a squabble, and I will not have this used as an excuse for one member's rudeness. We all can (quite innocently) make mistakes, but to resort to sarcasm rather than admit to a mistake is the (sole) reason for the recent ill-feelings here. I forwarded a post recently regarding the Maha Sivaratri on March 5. I mistakenly assumed it referred to the day I received the message. Ravindramani kindly corrected me, for which I was grateful and apologised for not checking the facts before making the (wrong) assumption. Had he not corrected me I would not now be looking forward to turning my attention to Siva on Mar 5... This is the way I expect this group to conduct itself and I will not have you, or anyone else, shifting the blame (for someone else's sarcasm) onto the group itself. Believing RR to be an intelligent and knowledgeable man, I tried my best to reason with him. Unfortunately my efforts were in vain and the more I tried to reason the more he stepped up his facetious sparring. I sincerely hope this will now be the end of all this nonsense... Guest guest
Dear Mrs. Wendy, I appreciate your broad mindedness and large heartedness in your comments. Also agree that sarcasm should not be far fetched. Have also agreed your continous efforts to explain to the erring member, with patience, and was wondering why it is not taking effect, when it should have been, a long time ago. I also agree that this is a discussion group, and am not here to change anything, and neither vociferous about it. Nowadayas I get the feeling mot of the times, after sending a message across, that I should not have done this, in retrospection. Maybe I am taking more liberty than allowed. kind regards, Bhaskar. jyotish-vidya , " Wendy Vasicek " <jyotishvidya wrote: > > Dear Bhaskar, > > ///The recent thread is the outcome of more than > prolonged and unnecessary conversations, which > need not be elongated to the level witnessed, > by all participating members,/// > > It would be good to remember that this is a discussion group...discussion > involves conversation, Bhaskar, and many do learn from such discussions > (myself included).
