This is a western sidereal board, though, and I'm not sure how regulars on this board think of the signs. I don't believe they consider the triplicities of the signs (such as Aries-Leo-Sagittarius) in terms of the elements like the Tropical astrologers do, though the lords of each triplicity are harmonious with each other. For example what you call the fire triplicity (Aries,Leo,Sag) won't have the meaning of Tropical 'fire' in the sidereal zodiac. But their associated planets of Mars, Sun and Jupiter happily co-exist together. In Indian astrology (Jyotish or what is called 'Vedic') the signs are reference points for their ruling planets, but the signs don't have a lot of meaning in and of themselves. (This isn't to say that the signs don't mean anything, only that traditional Indian astrology doesn't give them very many characteristics.) The problem with giving a few examples of people who seem to express their signs is that you will probably find just as many examples that don't seem to work (in EITHER zodiac). At least this is my experience. I'm still trying to figure out how to demonstrate that the sidereal signs DO work...at least 75-80 percent of the time. It's possible to demonstrate that PRECESSION works with solar return charts, but that's not the same thing as showing that Aries is Aries, for example. What about Gandhi's Asc, Mercury, Venus and Mars all being in sidereal Libra? (I tend to give a Tropical 'water' coloring to sidereal Libra. Sign lord Venus is an emotional planet and exalted Saturn can be serious and morose.) And I have already written an entire book on the signs....sigh....easy to write a book but not so easy to back it up. All those astrology books out there are trillions of words with hardly any support for what they say. Anyhow, thanks for your examples!
