Guest guest
Gosh Terese, Thanks for such an informative response! I guess I am a little behind the times (in terms of this board). About all I know...seriously, is that tropical astrology doesn't place the planets in the astronomically-correct position. I have been studying astology (tropical) very, very intensely for about 2 years (reading Jeff Green's stuff of all things since I have pluto transiting the 12th house of all places; it is 1* from my Asc presently! Yay " me, myself and I " LOL). So all I really know is is TROPICAL, and with my discovery of where the planets are REALLY........I just apply all tropical concepts, beliefs, and theories but with a diffent interpretation of where the planets are (ie their signs). For instance, went to a lecture a few months ago (before I knew anything about sidereal) about Uranus moving into Pisces via tropical. During that lecture, which basically covered history and it's profound events via all the Uranus in Pisces transitions. I kept wondering.........it doesn't seem like these innovations that occur during such a pisces transition appear to be Piscean. After I discovered sidereal.......I thought about it......with every tropical transition of Uranus into Pisces, there have been major movements of society, medicine, politics into a very New Way of being. Like new vaccines. Or new political parties. That sort of thing. After I discovered sidereal.......it just appeared taht these things were very Uranian (ie, innovative, ingenious). So, that being said.........I would surely LOVE to look at your book. How might I find it? I am starting to understand, from this board, that there is soooooooooooo much more to this than I can even fathom at this point, but I would love to investigate it further. (That's what I LOVE about astrology.......sidereal, tropical, whatever; it is just a never ending trail of information for exploration!). Aside from really delving into Western Sidereal and all that entails (I can't believe the elements have no place!!!), I wonder if there is place in the astrology community for people like me, who seem to just deal with Tropical concepts but with the astronomical placements that sidereal offers. I can't tell you how many questions have been answered and confusions cleared up just by studying my chart with sidreal/Lahiri calculations and applying the basic tropical theories about signs and elements. and my chart.........MAN......Pluto on the Asc by transit (rough experiences) and natally all my planets in the 1st (no objectivity!) and the 9th (a real calling ......somewhere......somehow but I can't figure it out) and then these lonely planets/asteroids in the 3rd and 11th (Neptune in the 11th and chiron in the 3rd). Just trying so hard to understand my life purpose or save that, my next move........but finding the sidereal signs sooooooo appropriate I can't even believe it. So.......do ya think I should study Vedic and the dasas??!!!! Have a wonderful day.......from this newbie! Seriously, where might I find your book? I read your posts and even though I don't have the foundation to draw conclusions, I do follow you every step of the way! Robin
Guest guest
Hi Terese, I totally agree. Pluto in Sag? I don't think it could be.....given the events that we are faced with. The ENTIRE issue that confronts the world over right now is sharing/usurping POWER....through oil, political tyranny. Basically POWER STRUGGLES. And it seems all related to Pluto in Scorpio, as you say. The thing is.....I would imagine Pluto in Sag would result in people practicing the VERY best principles and ideals for the common good. In fact, I look forward to when Pluto DOES enter sag! Then we might see some real heros come forward to make the world a more equitable place. And I totally agree.....Uranus seems to be more aquarian right now. Or moving that direction. Yes, we have seen a lot on the front of computer-related advancements......but in the next 7 years.....I can't even imagine what the landscape will be like! We have merely begun. I will try to scan the document I got at that lecture on " uranus moving into pisces " from that lecture and post it here for you. The astrologer basically went through history and logged all the signficant social, political, medical, theological and technological advances that occurred throughout history whenever Uranus was in PISCES (as per tropical measurements). All sorts of SUDDEN, innovative advancements, one after the other. Like vaccines being discovered; that sort of thing. Seemed rather Aquarian to me! And, yes, these things I suppose could be construed as Piscean........but not really. Not at all. I would think Uranus in Pisces advancements on these fronts would be more holistically and spiritually oriented. All I can say is........I think that Pluto in Scorp and Uranus in Aqua are symbiotic. The Scorpio energy will get us into loads of TROUBLE! And Uranus in Aqua will give us the MEANS to really, really mess things up here on earth. But when Pluto goes into principl- driven, courageous Sag.......we will have the FIRE to set things right again. And when Uranus moves into Pisces, that fire to battle the evils and non-equities of society will be tailored to a more compassionate level. As in........we may have the courage and compassion to not seek " an eye for an eye. " It's kind of interesting because I have a very similar house system as the USA. Our ascendants are just a few degrees apart. So when I read analyses about what's happening in the USA.......many of the energies are the same in MY chart. As in.....pluto at or near the Ascendant! All I can say.......is if the USA doesn't get the lesson that it must transform for the good of all......we will be on the side of the slope that the Romans were during their fall from " grace. " With Pluto on the ascendant.......the power struggles should be more internally rather than this external manifestation that we see going on each day in the news. I am pretty much learning these lessons for myself (the hard way at times, I admit). Having to reinvent myself in an authentic manner that will serve not just myself, but my community. Bridging the needs of both. And, just as the USA is doing, I continue to just really, really want to rely on OLD ways of doing things and seeing the world and being in the world...whether those ways worked or not. A daily battle to transform. And I know......if I don't continue to do internal examinations and exercises, I am toast. And I see our country doing the very same thing. The scary thing is.......this Bush administration is totally working on the same premises that the Reagan/Bush Sr. folks did......even down to this new " financial stimulus package " based on the proven to be a MESS theory of the Trickle Down concept of economic stimulus! Give to the rich.....and the middle class will benefit. Right! It's incredible watching the Bush Jr. Admin just wield it's illegitimate power and " dictate " who shall have and who shall " have not " so blatantly. It's so ultra Plutonian........in a very Scorpionic manner. Oh, we will have some healing to do come Pluto in Sag and Uranus in Pisces! Indeed we will. Okay, got on a bit of a soap box!!! Will anticipate seeing some of your book when you get it put together. IF I ever html (which I plan to learn), perhaps down the road I could help out. Granted, you should get to know me better before handing over your goods!! And time can perhaps allow for that. Yes, I just don't understand how tropicalist astrologers can just forge their path without really, and seriously, listening to what they are saying! It seems soooooo obvious to me. A mere novice! And perhaps it is just the fact that I am a novice that makes me less invested in what I have been taught. Sometimes the BEST and most fruitful learning occurs right at the beginning of a study of a subject. Oh well! Have a GREAT day! Thanks for the dialogue! Guest guest
Hi Terese, You say even if what you write turns out to be even a shade or two from the truth...........well, we are all pretty much in the dark, striving to shine light on the truth. Doing the very best we can as HUMANS. So, please carry on!!! I would love for you take a look at my chart.........but I really don't want to inconvenience you. I try not to give my birth details on public message boards, and really tried to determine your email address here to send you such info. If you have some time.......can you please email me at flyfishergal2001 and I can return my birth info to you. But, seriously, I know you are busy, busy, busy, and I don't want to inconvenience you. I will say, however, that just a look at my chart from your perspective will definitely answer a lot of questions about this sidereal theory. And for that, I would be very grateful!! Perhaps I can return a favor!!! All the best to you. And I am serious......ignore what you don't want to give energy to.......and it will become a moot point!!
