Guest guest
Hello, As per Kevin's encouragement in his very nice Welcome Letter.....I thought I would introduce myself to the group! My user id is " flyfishergal2001 " so you will know me when I post to the board. Let's see.............I seemed to join right at the end of the tropical vs. sidereal 'debate' which seemed spirited. Can I add my 2 cents worth in on the subject here? Well.....put it this way.......I have been a very " unsuccessful " Capricorn Sun for about 40 years.........and now that I have found sidereal astrology, my entire perspective has been turned upside down. I am NOW a rather successful -- almost text-book -- Sag Sun with Scorpio rising. Trust me.......this explains A LOT. I have been studying Tropical Astrology very intensively for a good 3 or 4 years. Even trudged through Jeff Greene's Pluto books (No easy task)! And always, my own chart has seemed very elusive all this time. I discovered Sidereal through a friend of mine a couple of months ago (right about the time that I found this Centaur website where a discussion indicated that in Tropical, we are just PRETENDING the planets are where we say they are, and it has nothing to do with Astronomy!)........and there are no words to express my JOY of finally seeing some clarity in my own chart. Okay, okay, I have a stellium of personal planets in the 1st house natally, so I am somewhat preoccupied with myself. I admit it. Not to mention, Pluto is on my Ascendant by transit. (Pluto in the 12th created the life events that led me to astrology! If you can imagine!). The most NOTABLE and life-changing difference that Sidereal has offered me is the sign for my North Node. Sidereal it is in CANCER, not the Tropical Leo. Everything I think I have been working on these last few " transformative " years has to do with North Node in Cancer. Without giving you my entire life story.........I am SOLD on sidereal! And it was a delight to find your board.......because, honestly, it's a bitch to read moon and astro forecasts, and do the mathematical and sign conversions in my HEAD to get the REAL sign placement of the key planets! I have downloaded Sidereal.zip and will play with that for a bit, and then will no doubt join you on the board for some discussions! I look forward to it. Guest guest
I have to say as one whom was at the center of the " sidereal vs. tropical debate " it was retarded. It reminds me of that East Coast vs. West Coast rap war, it was neither started nor maintained by the people that it was blamed on. I see now that some of the group members are protecting their professional reputations as Tropical Astrologers. I find their high level of impudence almost laughable. I admitted to my transgressions to shut them up and I take full blame in order to keep them silent I don't recall ever saying that I was Godly. But it reveals the projected jealousy of one that should question why he is even a member of this club if it he hates us so much. I think I also saw him call me the champion of sidereal astrology. Its funny of all the things that those two typed, that is all I remember. I guess I just see what I want to see in all things at times. I can remember starting astrology itself when I saw a plaque with my Grandmother's zodiac sign (she is both tropical and sidereal Aries) on the wall and asking what it meant. She helped me discover that my sign was Virgo the Virgin. I have never had a reputation for being a saint and the more I found out about my sign the less I had in common with it. I took on some of the qualities of a Virgo just to conform. I was introduced to Sidereal Astrology from my daily horoscopes e-mailed from a web service I can no longer recall. The link took me to the Mission Astrology Group. I read I was a Leo. I consider this and read the evidence. I dropped tropical astrology like a bad lover and never looked back. It made more sense. I have always been bossy, athletic, proud, bold and had success with the opposite and same sex that have gotten me in to more trouble than I care to mention. Not too mention a very quick temper and an eagerness to engage in fisticuffs with the largest competitor that I could find. Of course I have looked into the other planets as well, I just don't let everyone in my head to manipulate what they read. I have a girlfriend for that. The only thing that critics to sidereal techniques have done is to prove that I am indeed lion born. I don't do charts for profit or for any type of exchange. I don't belive I am at the level yet. Besides my true talent is in computer illustration and graphic design. Although I had not understood my Libra moon until I got into more sidereal interpretations. Now I understand like someone has already said, Libra is not necessarily a peaceful sign.
