Matthew Quellas has studied astrology for thirty-three years, thirty of them as

an " old-time " Siderealist. He tries to present the techniques that were

introduced by the pioneers in the field -- Cyril Fagan, Donald Bradley (aka

Garth Allen), Carl Stahl, Roy Firebrace -- as simply as possible to an audience

of mostly Tropical astrologers.

 

Matthew says, " I'm not one of the " fighters " or " in your face " Siderealists. I

don't think that accomplishes much. But I do like the simplicity and

straight-forwardness of Sidereal astrology's interpretations. I often tell

people that when I was first studying Tropical astrology, I looked at my own

chart and said 'Well, maybe I haven't grown or evolved into it yet'. Then I

started looking at Sidereal interpretations and said, 'Yeah, that's me.'

 

I work with the Sidereal CapSolar Ingress as the " Chart for the Year " . It has

been very gratifiying to be able to point to all the " hits " it makes with

appropriate planetary symbolism for key world events, and then remind the

Tropicalists that the CapSolar marks no important moment in the Tropical zodiac,

as the Equinox and Solstice charts -- the Tropical Cardinal Ingresses -- do. It

is only significant in the Sidereal.

 

Periodically we will have articles on current events and theroretical

This storm was something else. Four feet of snow in a little more than 24

hours. We've all had only one activity in this town for the last two days:

shoveling snow accompanied by aching backs. Makes for good commaradie.

(spelling?) The internet servers have either been blocked or just won't

talk to us. So I'm just going throgh the accumulated mail that finally was

downloaded this evening.
