Guest guest
I'm an Aussie astrologer just introduced to western sidereal and it's blown me away. All those little bits that didn't quite fit before do now. But I am in infant stages here. I've searched the sites that come up on Google for sidereal info and currently being broke can't rush off and buy a sidereal emphemeris - are there any online? Anyway, nice to meet you. Try astro.com and look for " extended chart selection " under " free horoscopes " -- study the options. select fagan/bradley . Keep in mind your most valuable interpretation tool will be to remember the sidereal signs are most similar in effect to the planetary ruler(s) of those signs. good luck. /// chriswing in austin tx. Guest guest
Thanks - yes I have been doing that, looking at all the charts I have and going " ahhh....! " lol What do you do for eclipses, just subtract 23 degrees? Like the upcoming Taurus eclipse at 27 Taurus tropical will be 4 Taurus sideral? I have so much research to do...I am particularly interested in karmic astrology. Just changing my own NN position to the sidereal one has put a whole new slant on my own chart that is, to be honest, a relief. Aqua > > Welcome! Guest guest
Grab yourself a copy of Astrolog (make sure to get 5.41G, not 5.40); for any given date/time it will display the ayanamsa (the difference between tropical and sidereal measurements), which will let you know what to subtract to get the eclipse point you want. Or you could just calculate its position in Astrolog itself. Best free tool you could have! Also, there are 2-3 western sidereal astrology websites out there that have a copy of sidereal.zip, an archive of excerpts and articles, that contains a wealth of information from the western sidereal perspective. Good luck! Jesse Milligan , " aqua_gumnut " <aqua_gumnut> wrote: > Thanks - yes I have been doing that, looking at all the charts I have > and going " ahhh....!
