The first most basic tool for SIDEREAL interpretation is to remember the planetary rulerships and if possible the exaltations, falls and detriments. Start with the planets first alone, i.e., mars rules aries and thus the sidereal aries is most like the nature of mars. Now add to that the fact that VENUS is in its detriment (or is it " fall " ) for Aries, i.e., Venus rules Libra which is opposite Aries. Now if you combine the positive aspects of Mars and the negative aspects of Venus you can come up with some fairlly good interpretation of Sidereal aries. Of COURSE there is much more to it than that, but it is a beginning and i recommend it. other in the group may have their difficulties with this technique and still others will be able to flesh out what i have sorely missed. Good luck, and say hi to Brazil for me. /// Chris in Austin Texas USA
Guest guest
mixing tropical interpretation approaches to the sidereal zodiac is like mixing oil with water. THEY DON " T MIX!! As Cris mentions below... " like planet, like sign (constellation. For Sidereal Interpretation guidelines, get Fagan's " primer on Sidereal Astrology " available through Amazon..or check out " Sidereal Home Page " on the internet. Unfortunately most Sidereal publications are out of print, but do research on the web.... sidereal regards, Mike. --- cpwing44 wrote: > In a message dated 7/5/2002 7:30:21 AM Central > Daylight Time, > bmaroneze writes: > > > > > > First of all, I wish to know about the > interpretations in sidereal > > astrology. Guest guest
Yo Bruno... Are you still celebrating Brazil's World Cup Victory....? Your English is very good. You explain yourself very well! I echo the suggestions and information you received from Mike and Chris. If you can find someone on line selling " old " out of print books by Cyril Fagan, Donald Bradley or Garth Allen(They are the same person) or Rupert Gleadow grab them. Also, old issues of American Astrology Magazine as Cyril Fagan wrote a monthly article which appeared in their publication for many years. A book titled " Taking the Kid Gloves off Astrology " by Garth Allen is a must read.... I hope you can find it! http://users.cwnet.com/~sidereal/ http://users.cwnet.com/~sidereal/wsn/wsn.html The Above web sites(Among others) of Jack Contreras, The Master of MAG, The Sidereal MAGI of San Francisco, The Chronicler of Sidereal Astrology are a must see. I haven't seen them myself but I bet he did charts demonstrating why Brazil would win the World Cup. He's become an astrological sports purist as well as a dog because he doesn't come out to play when I'm in town. Below, Mike Magee in England has posted his writings as well as those of Kay Cavender, a prolific writer and visionary. Kay's writings on the various formations of angles is another must read. http://www.magee.demon.co.uk/ An important point to remember in learning about Sidereal Astrology is that the planets and lights(Sun & Moon)compliment each other within cyclical patterns. Observing the cycles and the compliment(s) which occur between the cycles within cycles creates patterns of psychology inherent with " everything " that has a beginning. Studying the angles and the cyclical patterns which cross the angles will allow you to anticipate how cycles manifest themselves in reality. Learn the power of " In Mundo " . Have fun Bruno and for gawd sakes, learn from your own chart! If you get anything valuable out of astrology it will be learning about your life and the stellar and planetary influences associated with it. Regards John Sarlya maronezebruno [sMTP:bmaroneze] Friday, July 05, 2002 7:30 AM a beginner needing help Hello, My name is Bruno Maronese, 22 years old, from Brazil. I am a (not so) beginner in astrology, and I wish to study more about sidereal astrology. Please, could you help me with some questions? First of all, I wish to know about the interpretations in sidereal astrology. Are there many differences from the " traditional " (tropical) interpretations? Does it work if I use the same interpretations with only the positions being different? (Is this question clear? Maybe my English is not so good...) My second question is: if there are many differences, could you please tell me where can I find good material (books, websites, etc.) on this subject? I have very good books on astrology, but none of them is specifically on sidereal astrology. I am looking preferably for free material (of course!) and books that can be bought via the Internet. Thank you very much! Bruno Maroneze " How can Pluto be in Sagittarius when it's so close to Antares? Guest guest
Chris I think there is an illegal reproduction of this book in existence that can be sent to your computer. I personally don't have the " illegal " file but someone out there in Internet land does...
