Guest guest
To Alex: The NCGR group is a news group. You have to belong to NCGR to have the e-mail letters sent to you. I'm not sure what the web site address is, but if you type NCGR into a search engine, it will turn up. There will be membership information on the web site. I think membership is $35 a year. Re: the 17 constellations of the Moon, here is the list from page 71 of Hunger and Pingree's ASTRAL SCIENCES IN MESOPOTAMIA (Brill Publishing): 1. Stars (Taurus) 2. Bull of Heaven (alpha Taurus) 3. True Shepherd of Anu (Taurus ?) 4. Old Man (Taurus ?) 5. Crook (Auriga) 6. Great Twins 7. Crab 8. Lion 9. Furrow (Virgo) 10. Scales 11. Scorpion 12. Pabilsag (Ophiucus) 13. Goat-fish 14. Great One (Aquarius) 15. Tails of the Swollow (Pisces) 16. Anunitu (Pisces) 17. Hired Man (Aries) I don't think there is much information on these constellations, which seem to be made from parts of today's constellations. There may be some untranslated old texts. David Pingree is the authority on the old Mesopotamian astrology. His books are very expensive if you can find them at all. They're university publications. Thanks for your interest!
