Guest guest
The very best book on Vedic astrology (better called " Jyotish, " because there was no horoscopic astrology in Vedic times) is Hart DeFouw and Robert Svoboda's LIGHT ON LIFE. This is an Arkana/Penguin book and can be ordered through any book store. Jyotish makes a WHOLE lot more sense if you draw any chart you are studying in the familiar western circular style. There is NO reason to use the square charts, which are incomprehensible to many western students. Just draw the circular charts with sign-as-house until you're really into it. A very good reason to study Jyotish is so it will be easy for you to recognize the differences between the Indian system and the Fagan/Allen system. The two systems are totally different except for the zodiac being used. Even the meanings of the signs are different.
