Guest guest
Dear list: I apologize for writing to the list without having presented myself first. My name is Juan Revilla, from Costa Rica. I am not a " siderealist " , but I like many of the sidereal techniques of the Fagan/Bradley school, and always work with precession-corrected tropical positions. I wrote a program named " Riyal " that contains some of these techniques: - paranatellontas (natal, transiting, and in synastry) - solar and lunar sidereal returns - progressed sidereal solar returns - astro-cartography - primary directions to the angles - tertiary sidereal progressions - Campanus house cusps, table of houses, and mundoscopes - work exclusively in the sidereal reference frame and many more things not necessarily sidereal. I am going to add soon the possibility of displaying all the positions in the Fagan/Bradley sidereal zodiac. For the moment it does all the " bija " corrections due to precession. The program is freeware, works under DOS, and its accuracy is better than 1 " . It can be downloaded here: http://www.expreso.co.cr/centaurs/riyal.html-ssi I believe that when one is working with dates that are separated by many years, or in the case of national charts such as that of the USA Declaration of War (the so-called " Boyd " chart) or of Islam, working with a sidereal zodiac always gives better results. I use the sidereal zodiac as a measuring stick, and don't pay much attention to the meaning of the different signs, but I have always been inclined to the sidereal signs more than the tropical.
