Guest guest
Hello Lea, I never did Lunar returns but I know they are done on the Solar return chart and not on the natal chart. So, I tought this was a good exercice with my new program and I made a tri-wheel of natal/solar return/lunar return. I think the most important thing is to look at the solar return map for this year. I get a 4°15 Cap. asc and a 22°15 MC.( I use a Sideral map) In this chart the nodes are on the the asc/desc axis Neptune and Sun hang close to the asc Uranus is close to the EP Saturn is on the IC Looking at the natal planets in the SR chart Neptune is culminating Mars Saturn and Sun are close to the asc. With Saturn on IC there could be emotional problems related to home, family, new responsabilities, moving, becoming independent, etc The nodes indicate a separation from an old way of living situation. This can be in relationship or simply that there is something new that starts this year : graduating, leaving home, divorcing, having a baby, etc Neptune on the angles brings confusion, wishfull thinking, hope but not much sense of reality. I think it gives a " disconnected " state Natal Mars on the asc indicates a strong desire to achieve Natal Saturn gives awareness of responsabilities. Sun of course want to shine but with Neptune is rather confused. I think this person is going through deep changes in his/her life but will adapt well, even if it can be difficult. Those changes are also indicated by transits : Pluto square Pluto Neptune and Uranus traveling over this concentration of planets in Capricorn and squaring Jupiter and Saturn in Aries (at the beginning of this year) Also the return of the nodal axis is an important factor. The first Lunar return falls on the 1st of september when the transiting Moon joins the SR Moon at 29°26 in Virgo. As I mentioned before, I never used Lunar returns mainly because I had to calculate with a simple calculator and it was time consuming. It is worth to be noted that the Moon fall on the desc and is exactly square to the nodal axis. Jupiter is also square the nodal axis. So I suppose this is " the " important aspect. The Jupiter/Pluto opposition falls in the 2/8 axis and the Mars/Uranus opposition in the 5/11 axis in this Lunar return chart. I hope somebody on the list can give you more information. Personally I feel inclined to use progressed solar returns because to pinpoint events during the year because I suppose angles are so important. I usually also look at stations of planets : Saturn is st on the natal asc. (12 sept.)This is quiete close to this lunar return date Neptune is also st on natal Saturn (15 oct;) Uranus is st on natal Jupiter (26 oct.) Jupiter is also st on the asc (25 jan 2001) for next birthday. I think therefore that this perdiod is a time of big change for the native Best regards Margarita

The way I was shown how to do it, one uses the Lunar Return cusps to compare the Lunar Return to the natal chart. However, one can do a similar comparision with the Solar Return There is also a chart called the Anlunar, which is the Solar Return Moon's Lunar Return. Has anyone out there experimented with them?
