Guest guest
Hello to all Sideralists, I just joined your group today and I am thoroughly looking forward to chatting with you all. I have been an astrologer for over 40 years and in the last 20 years I have used the Sidereal Zodiac exclusively for hundreds of clients. It will be such a pleasure to be able to talk to other astrologers about the planetary transits through the Sidereal Zodiac. Especially lately I have been so frustrated with hearing about the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction in Taurus when all I want to do is scream and say " It's in Aries. " I wonder if all the fires that are out of control here in the states isn't at least an indication that perhaps they might stop and at least question or at least consider Sidereal Astrology. When my mother learned astrology way back in the 1940's her instructors told her not to look up in the sky but instead to just look in her Tropical Ephemeris, that they knew the two would not be in agreement. So when I delved into Sidereal she was very gratified and truly interested. More to talk about later, I'm sure. For now thanks for existing out there. Peace, QuietChina

Don't hold your breath. The Holy Tropical Church still holds " the keys to the kingdom " in the West. Guest guest
Dear QuietChina / List, Welcome! On your note about the Fires due to Jupiter/Saturn conjunction in Aries - as of Yesterday, Saturn is now in Taurus with Jupiter and Venus/Sun/Mars too - what (kind of) indications do you think this will give? Better or worse? Very best - Sateesh. =========== - <QuietChina 07 June 2000 03:47 Hello, I'm new > Hello to all Sideralists, > > I just joined your group today and I am thoroughly looking forward to > chatting with you all. Guest guest
Hi Sateesh, My American Sidereal Ephemeris doesn't show Saturn entering Taurus until the fifteenth of June, Jupiter having entered Taurus on the 7th (today). As before, whenever Saturn and Jupiter and other planets like Mars join them, I have noticed far more earthquakes and volcanic activity happening when the element is Earth. Let's hope that we are spared some terrible tragedies this time. Also, I watch what happens on Wall Street with the Bulls, especially. Let's hope this leads to another super summer rally (especially for techs because that's where I'm invested). But my thinking also leads me to suspect that the Financial stocks will also see a good rally with all that Taurus influence. On the other hand, there may be a more conservative approach this summer as the fixed energy of Taurus may prevail. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I am also interested in seeing some wonderful trine energy influences what with Uranus and Neptune in Capricorn trining all that Taurus. Thanks for your email. I look forward to chatting again. Guest guest
Hi Kevin, Actually my Fagan - Bradley days were quite exciting for me. I discovered a tiny little book on Astrology in my friends Old And Rare Book Store. It was called Astrology 14 and there was one paragraph in it that made reference to precession of the equinox. This started my quest. I got in touch with every astrology book seller and publisher looking for anything and everything that would help me construct a sidereal chart. I found bits and pieces from all over the place (all this prior to the internet). I did many trial charts, using many different house systems until I finally decided on the Campanus House system because it seemed to make more sense to me that if I was going to use the sidereal poisitions then I also wanted to use a house system that took the size of the constealltion into account. And that is where I have remained to this day. The other fun thing I did was to try an experiment. I got Grant Lewi's book " Heaven Knows What " and picked out two paragraphs for each of the people in my control group. One paragraph gave the tropical sun/moon combination and the other I read was the sidereal sun/moon combo for each and every person in the room. Then I had them all vote on which paragraph sounded most like the person in question. I had about 13 participants. And you won't believe the results. It was astouding to me and got me very excited. Every single time every person voted for the sidereal paragraph. Needless to say that was the beginning of a really exciting time for me, because I then proceeded to redo all my family members and friends and gave them free trial readings and have been doing sidereal only ever since. Is this what you had in mind when you asked your question? Peace, QuietChina
Guest guest
Dear QuietChina, As I'm studying Vedic Astrology (Jyotish), the Ayanamsa (Precession) we use (Lahiri in my case) could be slightly different to yours - for Lahiri, Jupiter shifted on the 2nd June and Saturn shifted on the 6th June - for me personally, that would be from the difficult 8th House to the Very nice 9th House - here's hoping :-) . Very best - Sateesh. =========== - <QuietChina 07 June 2000 20:52 Re: Hello, I'm new > Hi Sateesh, > > My American Sidereal Ephemeris doesn't show Saturn entering Taurus until the > fifteenth of June, Jupiter having entered Taurus on the 7th (today). Guest guest
Dear Sateesh, Oh, I had no idea that they were different. Sorry. I am not familiar with Vedic Astrology. Do you find it to be easy to work with? Peace, QuietChina
Guest guest
Dear QC, Yes, we use all the Planets except Uranus, Neptune and Pluto - and we uase the Moon's Nodes. The aspects are special for each Planet - Jupiter, Rahu and Ketu (the Moon's Nodes) all have Trinal aspects, whereas Saturn has a 3rd and 10th aspect from itself, whereas Mars has 4th and 8th aspects from the House it occupies. All Planets have an aspect on the House opposite them. OK - that's just 1 aspect (!) of Vedic Astrology - I could write more, but it would become a book :-) . I use 's " Systems Approach " and am a Member of the List that deals specifically with that branch of Vedic Astrology (Satva List), and used to actively participate in more conventional V.A. Lists too before I found S.A. Hope this helps a little. Very best - Sateesh. =========== - <QuietChina 08 June 2000 17:31 Re: Hello, I'm new > Dear Sateesh, > Oh, I had no idea that they were different. Sorry. I am not familiar with > Vedic Astrology.
