Dear learned members,

I am a not even a novice in KP, but would like to draw the attention

of this Forum and ellicit opinion and observations on this point.

8th house effects are deemed to be unfavourable in a majority of

horoscopes. However, in KP is it not the 8th cusp Sub-lord who

decides the matters of 8th house than the 8th lord - Even in terms of

dasha bhukthi? And any link with the 8th S/L more harmful than the

8th lord?

Secondly, if the 8th lord also owns the 11th as in case of (Taurus

Asc), obviously it is the Dasha of 8th and 11th lord, whereas the S/L

of 8th could be Saturn and the S/L of 11th Venus. In such a scenario

does it mean there is a loss on account of 8th house lordship and

gain on account of 11th lordship and according to KP 'both the

entries should find a place in the ledger and balance could be NIL'.

Is this statement universal? I am not challenging anybody but only

trying to get an insight into the issue.

Thirdly, when matters like child birth - 2,5,11 (except for Chara

lagna)decides the Progeny, irrespective of the Dahsa bhukthi and

could even be running the Dasha of the 8th lord or even the DBAS of

8th S/L, but obviously in the conjoined period of 2,5,11 child may be

born. If this is appealing, then the second point above needs more

understanding for me.

I would like to make it clear that I am not confused about the DBAS

and S/L, but I have a point.

I request your valuable comments.

Regards,

K Jagadish
