A suggestion to our research-minded K.P.Followers...

Dear Members,

(for the spl.attention of M/s Rangarajan,tw853,Ron, et al...)

I personally feel that we are all spending needless time on the Ascendant sublord and its relation to Moon's starlord,at Birth,if only in order to verify whether the group's interpretation of the late M.P.Shanmugham's thinking etc.,inspite of there being other ways available in K.P., to verify the correctness of a BC...

Instead for such research-minded followers of K.P.,I suggest an exciting line of investigation...into one's past,present and future Births...

Pl. refer Astrology & K.P.,part II, Pp 245-260,on THE TRIGONS,based upon the Trikonas of traditional astrology and how a lot of secrets of a nativity wait to be unravelled...from these Trigons...

A brief lead/suggestion is given for research in Past,Present Future Births etc...and additional houses to be judged to confirm the accuracy of predictions made etc...

I wonder if any among the many young research-minded

K.P.-scholars present in this group would like to delve into,and unravel secrets of a nativity by using astrology alone...?

Dear Shri.Lajmi,

With due respect, may I point out that you have been saying from the

beginning that we have misinterpreted the ASC sublord/MOON starlord

connection rule, without actually giving what YOU believe is the

correct interpretation. As a senior astrologer you would have tried

this rule in many cases and succeeded, right? Then please share with

us your understanding of the rule. I and other members will be happy

to work with you on this. Also tell us in clear terms whether you

approve of this rule or not.

We are aware that there are many ways proposed in KP to check and

rectify birth time. This connection rule is among the most used. Our

question is whether this rule is just misleading or is really useful.

The study we have conducted so far is not in favour of the rule.

About your TRIGONS, yes, thanks for the pointer. Once again, have you

applied this and benefited from it? Give us some cases where you

applied and succeeded. KP Yearbooks and other books on KP (including

the volume you refer to) contain articles contributed by many

astrologers of varying degrees of experience. Since none of the

articles published is reviewed by peers, we do not know the

correctness of what is presented. There could be absolute beginners

(like me) who would submit an article just to see their name in print.

However, the article gains importance if it is by a senior astrologer

(like you) or is endorsed by a senior astrologer. We cannot take and

work on something just because it is in print.

So, let me conclude by requesting you to do the following:

1) Tell us whether you have ever used Shanmugham's rule in your

practice and if you found it correct.

2) What interpretation of the rule did you use? Please be crisp in

your definition.

3) Did that rule ever fail you? Give one or more examples.

4) Have you used the TRIGONS idea? Was it useful? Did it fail?

As " scientific " astrologers who strive for 100% success, we should be

critical of ourselves and try to improve what is before us.

Dear Rangarajan,

I have said... "perhaps misinterpreted" ...

I have also given my opinion on this and still maintain that this rule in my own experience has been found applicable for a difference in TOB for a few minutes...around 15-20 minutes...not over a day...and I have said this many a time...

I have very clearly said that I have no experience at all with Trigons...and I don't keep well enough to devote the time required for such a kind of research work...pl.refer to my letter to Shri Bosmia...and recommended research in this field to all young and brilliant scholars among the K.P. followers...

(Also,I am unable to concentrate for long after the attack of TIA...that I had sufferred ftrom,five/six years ago...and my condition is steadily worsening,imperceptibly,but surely...hence I cannot take up this kind of research...myself...perhaps betrayed in my impatience and sometimes brusqueness...)

I am also closely following any research work,that appears on this site...as I have not stopped learning, yet...!
