Dear tw,

I agree with you tw...

I have had quite some experience, since long...during the early days...the proof-reading and sometimes even proper editing had been very difficult to decipher, especially when I was at the early stages of learning K.P., particularly the Magazines, then known as Astrology & Adrishta...contained articles which were at times written in difficult-to-decipher language,by some authors, but we used the "reference-to-context" method, reading between the lines etc., to truly understand the message...Fortunately,these days, comparatively, the editing is much much better than in those days...although, proof reading as you know,is a specialised art by itself...

The best proof-readers are supposed to be available in Govt. Presses and with reputed Indian & Foreign Publishers & Printers...even they sometime let errors creep in...inadvertently...!

I guess keeping this in mind, and the general decline in the standards of the English Language( "an alien" language, to boot..."),

the K.P. readers are O.K.

The problem in India,it seems,is because the 'learnig of English is in a vernacular school, the 'thinking' is done in the vernacular, and it is translated into English verbatim, mentally as it is written/spoken...I have observed certain pecularities that invariably occur with the English spoken & written by Maharashtrians who think in Marathi,Andhraites who think in Telugu,Tamilians who think in Tamil, the Bengalis who think in Bengali...and so on...hence the grammar is vernacular and the language is English, more often than not, leading to this kind of mis-match...! ?

Yours sincerely,

lyrastro1

Dear All,teaching and learning 1. For information, regarding KSK References on Exalation & Debilitation posted in Msg #4013, pages in KP Reader "III", Nineth Edition, Jan 2004 are below. 3) p 26 in 1984 Edt-- p 180 in 2004 Edt4) p 28-----p 181 in 2004 EDt5) p 56-----p 214 --- 6) p 85-----p 245 --- 7) p 139----p 303 ---8) p 173----p 340 ---9) p 204----p 374 in 2004 EDt 2. For another information, KP Reader III, old edition like of mine 1984 Edt are as good as 2004 Edt in contents but as bad as the same with some errors and inconsistencies of hard cries in another group and one time in this group regarding KPBC DOB of the same chart 29-1-1928 in p 139 of KP Reader III & IV but 28-1-1921 in p 83 of KP Reader VI.3. May be the same with other Readers of old and

new Edt because who knows or dares or has the authority to change Guruji KSK's original findings or theories. In my personal opinion, the real theories and methods can be learned only from those originals with some errors and disctrepencies which were written over a span of time while doing research as mentioned by Punit ji. It may be a real art of learning KP. Best regards,tw
