Dear Friends,

I come across many nativities with Saturn in 7H.

IT IS DIFFICULT TO SUPPORT YOUR GENERAL OBSERVATION.

Dear Vipin ji

I have seen few horoscopes of people with saturn in 7th house and one common observation is that their respective spouses have an extremely heightened and peculier sexual drive & behaviour. they also have very suspicious and irritating behaviour towards their spouses. wonder if you and other esteemed members can express their views on this.

Respected Sharat ji,

You could be partly right.

According to Jamini paddhati, as explained by Guru Sanjay Rath:

" A malefic in the 7th house will not only show bad attitude of spouse, it could also damage the relations with co-born, mother and father" [ COVA; page 252]

A planet in the 9th house will also affect the significations of the 7th house.

"Thus, for example,, if malefics are in the 9th house….. can cause the spouse to become very brave to the extent of forgetting social norms for extra-marital relations" { COVA; page 253]

With Saturn in the 7th there is a possibility that the spouse might be older than normally expected. Spouse could also be detached and might lead to incompatibility.

Varun ji,

since lalkitab takes samudrik system into consideration the

results vary if the wife is fair complexioned compared with the

jatak's complexion.

Just wondering if the discussion is on vedic astrology or the 7th house as per

LK which is different, i.e. thula for all.

I have very perfunctory knowledge of astrology, but from what I have read or

learnt, in vedic astrology 7th house, which could be different houses for

different lagnas, the native as someone has expressed will have an older spouse,

and also the marriage may be delayed.

Dear Sharat ji,

According to the Lal Kitab there are no indications of a delayed marriage or

that the wife will be unfaithful if the Saturn is in the 7th house.

It is in the Vedic paddhati that a Saturn in the 7th might delay marriage.

Saturn could also indicate an unconventional marriage and sexual behavior.

The only thing the Lal Kitab mentions is that a jatak with a Saturn in the 7th

should get married before the age of 22 years lest his sight gets adversely

affected.

Sincerely,

Bhooshan Priya

Dear Ramakrishnan ji,

The 7th house is Tula in a Cardinal Kundali [ Kalpurush kundali]. It is true for

all paddhatis of Jyotish including the Lal Kitab.

When we talk of the 7th house in the Lal Kitab, it has no reference to the rasi

it belongs to.

In the Lal Kitab paddhati the houses are marked from 1 to 12. The numbers given

to the houses should not be taken as rasi.

People like me who also take into account the rasi while studying a horoscope

retain the original rasi as such. Retaining the rasi becomes necessary when we

have to study the divisional charts like D-24 for education, D-10 for

profession,or D-9 for marriage. The rasis are also important to work out the

shadbal of the planets. I use them all.

Traditional Lal Kitabists do not study divisional charts etc. and they do not

need rasi etc either.

Sincerely,

Bhooshan Priya

Dear Varun ji and Kulbir bhai

I have at least three cases where the spouse of the native is very fair and still such behavior is visible.

In one peculier case, the native has saturn in 7th house. this is his first marriage, but second marriage for wife. she ran away from house with a friend, then got married to some one else, had a daughter, was divorced, daughter living with parents. then got married to the native, had a son, got divorced, son living with husband and she is now living with some one else. Incidently, she had a little defect in leg and walks with a little limp.

there are afflictions to her own chart also, esp the 5th house is badly afflicted.

Respected Priya ji

Interestingly in the case mentioned by me, the native(male) got married very late at the age of about 35 yrs to a lady who was divorced with a child from an earlier marriage. The person had an accident at the age of 30 yrs which affected the right eye and caused a permanent distortion in that eye. Just goes to prove the efficacy of the lal kitab system.

Although getting married before 22 yrs of age is not too feasible in today's urban scenerio. do you think in today's context, if a person with saturn in 7th house is sexually active but not married; it fulfills the condition to some extent.

Dear Sharat ji,

With Saturn in the 7th the jatak is advised to marry before the age of 22 years.

The idea is to get established Venus before the period of Sun [ 22-23 years ]

starts.

A venus can be established by keeping a cow, or a maid servant etc. Sexual

experience prior to marriage may not be a substitute of establishing a venus,

but it might activate / invoke venus.

Thank you guru ji

I am amused at myself that such benign ways to establish Venus escaped me.

Dear Sharat ji,With Saturn in the 7th the jatak is advised to marry before the age of 22 years. The idea is to get established Venus before the period of Sun [ 22-23 years ] starts.A venus can be established by keeping a cow, or a maid servant etc. Sexual experience prior to marriage may not be a substitute of establishing a venus, but it might activate / invoke venus.
