Guest guest
Respected Gill Saheb, This upaya is suggested for malefic Rahu in general and for Rahu in the 12th house in particular. The upaya of having meals in side the chauka [ kitchen ] was suggested because in good old days men folk seldom entered the kichen. The meals were normally served to them either in the baithak [ living room] or a place adjacent to the kitchen. The purpose of the upaya was to expose the native to the burning fire [ Mars ] in the kitchen so that Mars could keep the Rahu under control. This exposure to Mars at least twice a day was considered good enough to stop Rahu from mischief. Now the scenario is changed. Men folks entering a kitchen is no longer considered a taboo. But there is hardly any space in the kitchen to sit down and have meals. Therefore the best form of the upaya would be to make it a habit of preparing the morning tea for himself and his wife. This would get him exposed to the burning fire of the kitchen at least once every day. Or instead make it a habit to assist the wife in the kitchen so that he spends some time in the kitchen in the presence of burning fire. Guest guest
Varun ji; this is a very good remedy and very practical. apart from controlling rahu , it would de definetely appease Venus; which includes half the part as rahu. i would requset you to further throw some light upon which house does kitchen comes under.secondly not to enter the kitchen wering shoes was used for hygenic purpose alone or does it has any planatery/remedial significance also regards kulbir On 1/28/09, varun_trvd <varun_trvd wrote: Respected Gill Saheb,This upaya is suggested for malefic Rahu in general and for Rahu in the 12th house in particular. The upaya of having meals in side the chauka [ kitchen ] was suggested because in good old days men folk seldom entered the kichen. Guest guest
Dear Kulbir bhai, House # 8 has been designated as 'aag ki jagah' [ page 994; 1952 urdu ed]. This has been further clarified by Pt. Krishna Ashant ji as ' jahan khana banane ke liye aag ka sambandh ho'. Therefore we accept house # 8 as rasoi ghar. House # 8 is associated with Mars. As we all know that the pooja ghar and the rasoi ghar are two places in the house which are considered as 'pavitra'; therefore going to these places wearing shoes was and is considered as sacrilege. Astrologically speaking if the 'aag sthan' Mars and the leather shoes [ saturn] are brought together in the house # 8; the Lal Kitab says, " dono grah marak sthan, murda ghaat, manda chulha, ya mandi aag jalane ki jagah ke malik honge' [ page 885 ; 1952 urdu ed ]. That could have been another reason why it is considered to enter a kitchen with shoes on.
