Sir,

For Rahu and Ketu the Arun Sanhita says

Rahu ketu jo paap gine hain, grah sab hi ko ghumate hain

Guru akela do ko chalaye, ghoomte par vah budh mein hain

Could you please explain these lines?

Sincerely,

MP Jain

Sir,

it has been explained in lalkitab that if paap gets neutralised in

the natives destiny . i.e. if these two planes go missing other

planets loose their inertia and the native/soul is out of the circle

of birth and death. the other 7 planets with the inertia of these 2

(which move in opposite directions and are referred to as one holding

the head and the other feet of native) exert there influence and the

person is born. the arena is the atmosphere filled with the element

of jupiter and encompassed in the element of mercury.

regards

Dear Mahavir Jain ji,

[ adding on to what Kulbir ji had said]

The couplet you have quoted from the Book is a metaphysical truth.

This statement is a simplified explanation of what the traditional

Indian astrology believes.

" The position of Rahu in the chart indicates what we are bringing

into this life & that of Ketu hints at what we have to distribute....

Together these influences, shape the game of Life..... The other

planets shall play their part only to fit in this arrangement.....

Nothing More, Nothing Lessâ€

Rahu -Ketu enjoy the most enigmatic position in the cosmic scheme.

Although

they are not planets, not a body but they are a void? They are like

the black

hole which generates everything and also sucks everything. I feel Rahu

is the beginning and the Ketu the end.

Rahu-ketu are one entity and between them it is infinite cosmos?

That is why in a natal chart they are assigned the opposite poles and

they

move as a bipolar force. They can be called bipolar as well as

cyclical.

Rahu-Ketu are the duality and cause of all polarity. They are both

good and

bad; a giver as well as a taker.

Life is like a game of snakes and ladders with Rahu. He is the Maya

and he is mayavi who creates the smoky veils for us and we are

required to come out of these perceptions.

Ketu makes one reach the heights of spirituality and Rahu is the one

to

give the pits of immorality. Rahu-Ketu are the karmic dispensers.

They are the ones who monitor our balance sheet and maneuver our

lives.

The Lal Kitab describes the Rahu as a prosecution advocate where as

the Ketu as the one who pleads on behalf of the native in the court

of Saturn the cosmic Lord Judge.

The one who makes Rahu-Ketu move in their bipolar and cyclic journey

is the ‘Niyantaa’, the supreme being, the godhead, Lord Vishnu or the

Jupiter. The void these two planets move around in is signified by

Mercury, the ‘kumbha’ or the ‘bramhand’.
