Guest guest
Sir, Is it true that the Gaj-Kesari yog gets afflicted by mercury and rahu? If so, to what extant? Sincerely, HS Gill
Guest guest
Respected Gill sahib, Yes, if the Gaj-Kesari yog gets associated with mercury and rahu either through conjunction or through aspect it gets vitiated. Lal Kitab uses a simile to describe this effect. Jupiter and moon together are taken to signify a Banayan tree [ bargad or bad ] ; where as mercury and rahu together as Talair [ taliyar] bird, a bird which is supposed to wastefully destroy the fruit of a bargad tree. This is how the book describes the Chandra-Guru yog under the impact of mercury and rahu in the 2nd house : Khana # 2 Budh rahu ka saath hi hote; doodh zahar do manda ho Bad ke pedhon ko talair kaate, saath saali na umda ho [ page 749; 1952 Urdu ed ] Khana # 2 Brahaspati aur Chandra dono ki hi mandi halat hogi, bad ke darkhta ko talair [ janwar chhote-chote syah rang] hi kaat denge. Chandra ka doodh botal mein band hoga, jiska zayaka na hoga, agar phir bhi hoga to bicchoo ya bhid ki zahar hoga. Ab saali [ aurat ki bahan] ka saath rahana nek asar na dega, har taraf kharabi hi khadi hoti jayegi [ page 754 ; 1952 urdu ed ] You can imagine if this is what happens to the Gaj-Kesari yog in the 2nd house where a moon is considered as exalted and Jupiter in its own pakka house, then what could be the results of this yog in other houses under the influence of mercury and rahu. The fruits of this yog will be wastefully destroyed by both mercury and rahu together [ taliyar]. The extent of damage would depend on the house where this yog occurs. If the yog occurs in the houses 3, 6, 8 and 12 and is under the influence of mercury and Rahu then the damage done would be more as compared to the 2nd or the 4th house. Of course the results could get moderated if the Gaj-Kesari yog gets a support from planets friendly to this combination.
