Nail of boat/ iron shoe of black horse / Shri S.Leekha ji

Respected shri Leekha ji,

 

I do not know, you may be right that the major big nails used in the

under-side of a boat could be either brass or copper, but there would

be a lot of smaller nails which would be of iron.

 

I think only those nails of a boat can be used which are of iron and

are fixed in the area of the boat which stays immersed in the water.
