Guest guest
Houses studied together ; The Lal Kitab has identified a few houses which if studied together, would give a better understanding of the horoscope. House # 2, 4, & 10 The 10th house is the karma sthan, a place where destiny becomes perceptible. A planet placed in the 10th indicates the vastness of the kismet [ desiny] This house is associated with the 2nd house through navam-pancham [ 9-5 ] relationship. Therefore the quality of this kismet will be judged through the planet placed in the 2nd house. The 4th house represents the comforts which can be acquired through the parishram [ efforts ] of the 10th, and accumulated in the 2nd. If the 4th house is unoccupied, or occupied by Saturn/rahu/ketu , that would indicate that the native will not be able to enjoy the fruits of the comforts which he had acquired through his efforts. If the 10th house is occupied and the 2nd is not, then the 10th house will have no luster. Such a person might be deprived of worldly comforts. If the 2nd house is occupied and the 10th house is not occupied then also the native might have to struggle a lot even for small things. If the 2nd and the 10th houses are unoccupied, and even if there is a benefic in the 4th house still the native might get nothing and his effort might be like wandering after a mirage. Houses # 2 , 6, 8 , 11, & 12 [ a ] planets of the 2nd house and the 12th house have close affinity, as have the planets of the 6th and the 8th. [ b ] A planet placed in the 8th will transfer its adverse effects to the 2nd house on the advice of the planet placed in the 6th. 11th house will be used as a passageway. A planet placed in the 8th house would indicate sudden events and problems depending on whether it is a malefic or a benefic. The effect of the 8th house can be assimilated with that of the 2nd provided that the planet placed in the 11th house is not an enemy of the planet placed in the 8th house. If the planets placed in the 11th and the 8th are mutually enemies than the effect of the 8th will not get assimilated with that of the 2nd. [ c ] Similarly the effect of the 2nd house can also get assimilated with that of the 6th. The effect of the 6th does not get transferred to the 2nd except in the case of the Saturn placed in the 6th. It is believed that the Saturn placed in the 6th can look back at the 2nd like a snake. [ d ] The effect of the 6th house can be transferred to the 12th house. In this transfer the effect of the 6th alone will be transferred and not the one which got assimilated from the 2nd house. [ e ] The 12th house effect can not get assimilated into the 6th house except in the case of a mercury placed in the 12th. [ f ] If there are mutually enemy planets in the 8th and the 12th houses and the 2nd is not occupied, then such a native is advised not to go inside a temple. He is advised to bow and pray to the deity from out side of the main entrance of the temple. In the reverse situation, if the planets placed in the 8th and the 12th are mutually friends and the 2nd is unoccupied then one is advised to go inside the temple and touch the feet of the deity and pray. For example if there is a Saturn in the 12th and a Sun in the 8th while the 2nd is vacant then if the native goes to the temple it would result in bringing the Saturn and the sun together and hence can have adverse effects on the Venus. Such a native might have marital discord or his wife could have bad health. On the contrary if the 12th house has planets like Jupiter or mars, friends of the sun in the 8th, then it is advisable that such a person should go to the temple and seek blessings of the deity by touching the feet of the deity.
