Sirs,

According to the Lal Kitab a jupiter is not considred generally good

in the 7th house. What if it is placed in Cancer and exalted ? Would

it not give good results being in the mutthi ke khane and probably

being a kismat ka grah also?

With respect,

Respected Raheja ji,

Yes you are right that an exalted Jupiter in a Kendra house might be

one of the kismet ka grah. And yes, Jupiter in the 7th house is not

considered as well placed because according to the Lal Kitab the 7th

house is owned by mercury and venus, both enemies of Jupiter.

Naturally a Jupiter will not feel comfortable in a house owned by two

of his enemies.

Now let us understand what could be the results of a Jupiter placed in

the 7th house. The first thing we should know is that the results of

any planet in a house are subject to the placement of other planets in

the horoscope which includes afflictions, aspects etc.

While talking of an exalted Jupiter as such in the 7th house, not

taking into account the placements of other planets, we will have to

see the longitude of the Jupiter.

If the exalted Jupiter is less than 3Ca20 then it will be in

punarvasu, its own nakshatra . In that case the results of Jupiter

will be very good. There could be some problems in marital harmony

because such a person is very likely to devote his time and energy in

religious and spiritual pursuits which could be at the cost of his

worldly duties towards his family.

If the Jupiter is between 3Ca20 and 16Ca40 , then it will be in

Saturn's Pushya nakshatra. In this case Saturn being the lagnesh, it

will help Jupiter. The person will be well off financially,

comfortable in family matters etc. so long as he is clever, alert and

cunning like the Saturn. In case he is not worldly wise, like the

Saturn, he could still suffer.

If the Jupiter is more than 16Ca40, then it will be in mercury's

Ashlesha nakshatra. That could be worse. A Jupiter already depressed

in a house owned by his enemies will get further handicapped by being

in a nakshatra owned by his enemy mercury. In this situation the

significations of Jupiter like the progeny, fame etc could also

suffer. Quite possible that he might have some health problems too.

I hope this answers your query.

Regards,
