Guest guest
Dear pt. Bhooshan Priya, Equivalent Planets: The following is the list of the Equivalent planets: Sun: Merc Moon: Mars, Jup, Ven & Sat Mars: Ven, Sat & Rahu Merc: Mars, Jup, Sat & Ketu Jup: Sat, Rahu & Ketu Ven: Mars & Jup Sat: Jup & Ketu Rahu: Moon & Jup Ketu: Sun, Merc, Jup & Sat If a planet is debilitated or in the fixed/own house of its enemy, whether in natal or annual chart, then it will give malefic effect. In the same way, if a planet is exalted or in the fixed/own house of its friend, then it will give benefic results. Then if the planet in question happens to be in conjunction (or otherwise associated) with one or more of its 'Equivalent planets', then the planet in question will still continue to give its own promised results, whether malefic or benefic. The idea seems to be that the Equivalent planets are not supposed to change the results of its planet, since they are its even or equal planets. This actually makes Equivalent planets a very important addition to the usual rules about friends/enemies & yoga-dristi. If one or more equivalent planets are debilitated and poor, but the planet itself is not so, in that case whenever such a planet comes to the 1st house in the annual chart, in that year the 'Mahadasa' of that planet will start. However, a number of specific rules has to be observed in order to see if a planet is qualified for Mahadasa or not. All this is described in LK-1952. Best wishes, Finn
Guest guest
Dear Finn ji, Thank you so much for this write up on equivalent planets. It is simply beautiful and so well written. This adds to my knowledge also. I had never looked at these planets in these terms. I hope we will keep getting more of such insights in the future. Once again expressing my gratitude for your write up. God bless you, Bhooshan Priya , " Finn Wandahl " <finn.wandahl wrote: > > Dear pt.
