Respected Varunji,

Explanation was logical as always.

Just one query, I believe 8th house has "reverse drishti path" to the 2nd house and assuming one has to establish a planet from 8th house to 2nd house:

1) One should only use reverse drishti path?

2) If yes, are there any exceptions?

3) Not sure if there is direct drishti path from 8th house to 2nd house?

4) If 3) stands false then no issue but if 3) stands true then what are the deciding factors to choose between 1) & 3)

I've assumed so many things because I am not good at LK system.

Please advise.

Cheers

Respected Sood ji,Thank you so much for seeking clarification. That shows your interest in the lal Kitab system of Vedic astrology. My explanation earlier of the duration of Upaya , as we see it, has been divided into two parts.[ a ] When the effect of a planet is to be distanced, or its nature changed, or destroyed for that year. In this case the duration depends on the house the planet is placed in. Therefore if a planet placed in the 6th house is to be distanced the upaya of immersing will have to be done for 6 days, if a planet is placed in the 5th house and its nature is to be changed through offering the karak vastu in a temple, then the upaya will have to be done for 5 days; similarly if the effect of a planet placed in the 4th is to be destroyed for that year then the upaya of burying the karak vastu will have to be done for 4 days regularly.[ b ] The example of placing

haldi ganth in the North east corner in a brass bowl was given to explain as to how a planet can be established in a different house through moving it along the 'drishti path' [ grah ko sthapit karna ]. If the Jupiter is placed in the 8th house then the best upaya will be to move the planet to a house where it will be best placed. Jupiter, through his 9th aspect looks at the 4th house from the 8th. Therefore the `drishti path' for the Jupiter from the 8th house to the 4th house is already laid out. The Jupiter can be moved from the 8th house to the 4th house without any problem. Jupiter will be most auspiciously placed there.Once this has been decided that moving the Jupiter will be beneficial then the question arises of the duration of the upaya. In this case the duration of the upaya will NOT be decided on the basis of the house Jupiter is placed in, instead it will be decided on the

fact that how far is the 4th house from the 8th. Counting zodiacally the 4th house is the 9th from the 8th. Therefore the upaya will be to place a brass bowl in the North East corner of the house and drop a whole haldi ganth each day in it for 9 days regularly. Suppose the nature of this Jupiter placed in the 8th house were to be changed, then the upaya will have been to offer a haldi ganth at any temple for 8 days only. Then the house it is placed in would have been relevant. I hope I have clarified our view on the duration of upaya.Regards,Varun Trivedi , "sood4u_online" <sood4u_online@ ...> wrote:>> Dear Varun Ji, Wishes and Greeting to you and all > > Varun Ji Apne kha ki agar koi grah 8th house main hai to us ki
