Respected Pradeep ji,

 

[ 1 ] Both the upaya will be equally effective.

[ 2 ] You will not find 'khote sikke' these days. khote sikke were the

counterfeit coins people minted with Lead. It is because of the coins being of

Lead Pandit ji has mentioned the use of these coins. Basically the advise is to

immerse Lead in 8 pieces, be it 8 khote sikke or a bar of Lead cut into 8

pieces.
