Respected Vinay ji,

[ 1 ] The karak of purely mercury alone could not have been chosen

because then it would have meant burying the mercury of the Kundali

and its effect. Since the act of burying means destroying the

effects of the planet for that year, it would not have been

advisable to do. That is why he chose a karak made up of two

elements.

[ 2 ] Let us examine what else could Pandit ji do to nuetralise the

Sun in the 6th house such that it doesn't adversely effect the

Saturn in the 12th. This could be acheived only by establishing a

planet which is not hostile towards the Saturn. Apart from the Mars

the other planets not hostile to the Saturn would be mercury and

venus. I can not think of any such combination which has to include

the sun and at the same time lead to mercury or Venus.

[ 3 ] I consider burying in a barren place where nothing grows

amounts to establishing in the 6th house.

Regards,

Varun Trivedi
