Mahajan ji, there is no doubt on the issue that gar means agar IF and ghar means rahaish House. at various places pakka ghar and ghar as such been mentioned to denote residence. GaR VAn can only mean " If existing at that place. " we cannot take VAn at par with vaan as meaning beholder/possessor like putarvaan, rathvaan, bhagyavaan, balvaan etc.

Sir,aap kis chakar mein ulajh gaye kyon urdu ke liye sirkhapai kar rahe ho? abb agar hindi mein dekhen to kyon nahi ye keh sakte ki ghar vaan ( jaise puttar-vaan ) matlab ki agar ghar ke west deewar kachi ho to ghar-vaan zyada ghar ( makan ) honge. kyonki makan ko hum aaj bhee ghar boltey hain.

Varun ji, Mahajan ji of Ludhiana is what we can call an expert practitioner/follower of lalkitab. In fact he was the one who adised me to amend a pakki deewar to a kachi deewar in west for shukr-10 by laying additional layer of mud bricks or plastering it with pure mud which I confirmed from ur gudself.

Varun ji it might be coincidence but what do u say about ghar vaan as following lines in gutka say BAAGH BAGICHE, UMDA KOTHE. Umda kothe undoubtedly means to splendid buildings.
