Guest guest
Respected Aaditya ji, Flowing or immersing in a river a karak object of a planet signifies distancing the effect of the planet from the Jatak. Now there is no other alternative possible except for flowing it away. Some Lal Kitab aascholars consider this act of flowing away in a river as handing over the planet to the moon, the mother of all planets. Once again the idea is that the planet doesn't harm the jatak. Gifting an object at a temple is to make the planet swear in the presence of a deity that it will behave. Since the lal Kitab remedies are a penance also, therefore walking long distance to find a river would fit in with the spirit of the upaya.
