Respected Gill Saheb,

Yes, the remedy was shared by our respected Yograj Prabhakar ji with

our Guru Pt. Bhooshan Priya ji.

It is an old and traditional folk remedy used to eliminate white

patches on the skin. How it works as a medicine, we wouldn't know. But

it is a perfect remedy based on the principles of the Lal Kitab. As

you would probably know that the Lal Kitab had incorporated quite a

lot of traditional folk remedies into the corpus.

Now coming to the logic of this remedy :

White patches [ moon ] on the skin [ Venus ] is an abnormality

representing the malefic combination of the Moon + Venus . The

applying on the affected areas the water of the dhaak [ mercury ]

helps in the following ways :

[ a ] Water of Dhaak [ mercury ] when applied on the skin [ venus ]

brings them together thus strengthening Venus. In other words it makes

skin healthy and able to fight the abnormality. Mercury and the venus

are the best of friends.

[ b ] Mercury and Venus together form masnuyee Sun. Where ever the

Sun appears the moon will disappear from the view. Thus the white

patches should disappear once the mercury and the Venus are brought

together.

[ c ] Mercury can always suppress a lonely Moon. The lal Kitab says, "

akele Chandra ya brahaspati ko budh daba lega " [ 1942 urdu ed; page

257 line # 3 ]. Therefore the Dhaak water would be able to suppress

the white patches.

[ d ] Mercury has been traditionally used for separating the moon from

the venus. Remember the curds [ dahi ] and the ash [ raakh ] upaya

suggested for moon + venus in the lal Kiatb.

With regards,
